after cuttings are taken from a plant, how long should i wait for it grow back before switching to 12/12 without sacrificing yield?

or does it not matter?

Well, kinda depends on just how many cuttings you took, really, and how many plants they came off of. If you took 30 cuttings off one plant, then it's probably pretty bare of growth tips now, and will need a month or so to recover, maybe more. If you took one or two cuttings, and the plant was bushy, nothing to worry about, flower at will. If your plants are still reasonably bushy, I'd wait a week and then start flowering.

cool, thanks for that bro. I started like 7 seeds in rockwool that are now seedlings. I plan on taking like 3-4 cuttings off each before i flower them. That way once they show sex i can toss the males and there clones, and keep the female clones as mother plants and get bud off the original females.

I'll try get some photos up soon

Almost exactly what i did. I actually threw the plants in flower soon as they got to the right height that I wanted and sexed them then. Once the sex shows I clone once they are in flower. I haven't seen any difference at all in rooting times. In a humid dome, rapid rooter plugs and clonex my bubbalicious clones root in a week.

do what exactly?? A person can have a sea of green without having a mother plant. The only issue is if you are not good at clones you might not have the next grow going.... :(

really! a sog without mother? I thought everywhere i read people say not to clone once flowering is induced as the clones won't 'work'. But if your saying it's ok i guess it's a bit of a grey area. I guess i probably shouldn't try it on my first grow but definitely something to keep in mind. Thanks for the reply's - most helpful and informative, without seeming condescending (unlike some other people on this site).

If you have the room, and the time, and the light, don't flower plants that aren't 2 feet tall or so. If you don't want to wait an extra month, or just want to check sex, or run a sea of green you can flower any rooted clone immediately. Sometimes an extra 2 to four weeks of veg is really worth the wait.

hey meds. I may have to disagree with your statement. I have not had an issue with my plants and their short veg period. For example I pulled 6 oz from 2 bubblegum plants that were 8 in tall. how much more yeild could i have gotten if i would have flowered trees instead??? for example the book that ed wrote 8 oz in so many days... sorry i don't remember at the time but it is a great book and he didn't veg that long as well

What part are you disagreeing with? I said OR if you want to run sea of green, as in I agree with you...

It's a bit risky though in my book if you're going for lots of weight and small sea of green plants because the numbers add up fast especially when it's the DEA doing the adding it up.

You could easily need 50 or 99 plants or whatever compared to getting that same yield or more with just a few big suckers.

No matter how small they are or would end up or if they all fit in a closet the guvmnt is going to say they would have each been worth that the largest plant ever would have been worth, and that your whole op would have been a million dollars plus on the street.

You and your neighbor could get busted with the same weight and your neighbor could be getting a ticket or facing a misdemeanor and you could be suiting up to protect your cornhole.

I Always trim the bottom 1/3 of my plants. And when I grow from seeds I wait until they show sex to do this trimming so I can use those branches for cuttings. They clone just fine, and I know they are all females.

it depends alot on how you butchered your plants, but definately wait 5 days to see how it is handeling the stress. after that, go for it

These plants were only vegged for two weeks. At two weeks 1/3 of the lower branches and fan leafs were clipped off. Kind of like an embrella. Check out how many main type cola's they have. This is just another technic in how to grow. There are many. I also have a crop in another room that was sent directly into clowering from clone dome. ZERO flowering time. These should have one single cola. They are in 1 gallon grow bags and you can fit about 20 of them in a 4X4 tray.

The biggiest draw back to this way of flowering is that it does not give the plant enough time to grow big fat stems and branches to hold up the heavy buds. This is why you see all the strings hanging down, these are for tieing the buds up when they need help.

Plants in picture had two weeks of veg. and are half way into week 4 of flowering.

This is so very true. they figure a plant is worth $1,000-$2,000 depending on where you are at. Now with the plants that I am flowering with zero vegg time, I should get about 1-1.5 OZ each plant. Where with a full sized plant I would get about 4 OZ. But per plant the fine and the jail time will be the sam. So my crop with 4 large plants that give me 16 OZ's will get me less jail time then the 10 small plants that will only get me 10 OZ's. But I like the smaller plants, they are easier and faster to harvest and less clippings to trash.
