One plant growing faster than the other

hello guys

I have two ak-48 plants and they are 26 days old
I use same soil for both, water them at same time with the same amount of water, keep them equally close to light. So why is one growing larger than the other one ?

And one more question.
Should i start toping them or should i wait more i placed a pen in the pot to compare size?

Thank you

this is not uncommon. their are variations in seeds even if they come from the same parent plant. I usually start 4 seeds and chose the 3 best seeds to finish.even with seeds from a good seed bank you will see differences in growth rate.both of them look large enough to top and start training. I wait till my plants develop 5 nodes then top above the third node. hope this is helpful

topping will work by itself and give you 2 main colas. depending on the strain when they are well into flowering you may need to use steaks to support them. just a couple of thin bamboo poles stuck in the soil or taped to the side of the container a some plant ties to attache the stem to these supports. you don't even need to top. these are advanced growing techniques that help improve yield

I think it's probably just genetics. I on first grow with 4 autos all same kind all the same conditions and one is noticeably larger then all the rest with each being a little bit bigger then the next. I think each popped the soil a tiny bit ahead of the others but on the same day that may play a roll also.
