How should I react to thrips on my plants?

I have quite lots of thrips on my plants. They're vegging fortunately.

What should be the first thing I could do before ordering some products?

Home-made items?

Ordering from ebay takes too much time. Should I look in the local growshop? Should there be something?

First make sure what you have are thrips then go to the store and grab some insecticidal soap Neem oil is also a option but I would go with the soap.

Don't fuck around; yep I second that...just get Monterey Garden Spray with spinosad. It will only take one or 2 applications to get rid of pesky thrips. It's organic and safe for soil food webs; you could even spray it on buds if you have a few weeks to go before harvest..Neem oil will also work it just takes a bit longer. I have been amending with dry neem seed meal directly in my recycling soil & have not seen one pest since I started that.

Thank you very much for the response!!!

I'll go straight to my local growshop and see if they got that Monterey Garden Spray with spinosad and if they don't then I'll go by some alternative way. Maybe they have something else or maybe I could get that soap or neem oil.

I don't get it. They've been on my plants for 2 weeks already, but my plants seem to be doing quite well regardless of the eaten spots. Why haven't I had a bad feeling about this? Am I just lucky they haven't yet eaten all my plants?

Those spots are just the visible damage they are doing to your plants. They also multiply fairly quickly. I wouldn't let it go for much longer. Get rid of this nasty buggers
