Double LED light

Hello. I am needing to replace a 600w HPS lights and I have one 450w led and am thinking of picking up a 600w led and using both of them in a 3x3 tent with 3 plants. would this be good to replace the 600w HPS ? I know about cob lights and it is not the way I can go at this moment so they are out of the question. thanks .

Unless you're growing pygmy plants, one plant will pretty much fill a 3 x 3. More than that and they would be competing for space and light

I once squeezed 9 plants in 7 gallon smart pot in a 3x3 , 12-12 from seeds. Great yield at the time. I had 540 watts leds blurples.

How are you planning to do yours, topped, trained, single big cola etc etc..

Veg time i mean, lots of small plants ready to flower takes half the time of a few big plants and one plant in a big screen even longer. Personally i veg one month and that gives me foot tall plants topped at the fith with small side branches ready to flower. Some veg clones only two weeks and flip to flower. I could easily do 9 small plants in a 3x3 or four slightly bigger ones. All tjis factors the time of the grow and productivity.

I was a little spacey when I read your post earlier. I was planing on doing 4 bigger ones vegged for 2 months topped and trained. I have a perpetual grow so every 2 months I transfer plants into the flower tents. Ultimately my goal will be to hit 4 oz per plant. I am doing it with 600W HPS. Could I do the same with 850W LED?

I have a perpetual grow so every 2 months I transfer plants into the flower tents. Ultimately my goal will be to hit 4 oz per plant. I am doing it with 600W HPS. Could I do the same with 850W LED?

Ask green santa and that other dude that asked what make and model leds, theres a lot to them and personally id only be buying top of the range cobs and if i wanted to match a 600watt hps id hit 700/800watts of true wattage, not the unit wattage, to make sure i wasnt dissapointed. The best are hand built and space at appropriate distances. Some see they lack penetration, shorter trained topped seem better but a 600watt hps will churn out four fair sized plants all day long in most styles.

Good leds cost money as well, theres a lot to consider and many many threads to read on it. Hotter countries or states might favour led as easier to cool. Im not keen on them yet but those who switch and get proper kits are never that unhappy, led section has a lot of info too.
