lol , what's you're 4x4 setup? Pretty sure most of us that use LEDs know about the expensive up front costs, what are you trying to say, HID lights are cheaper up front?

Now what! Are the voltages the same? It's like buying seeds. Just kidding. Very interested. I found the 3 k veros my favorite so far. I love the 3590's 3500 but I think I like the 3k better. My problem is I don't want to swap drivers. And one of the new v29's will works with my 4 drivers. I may be stuck with V29's. Not a bad thing. You guys who sell and research all of this have made me self sufficient. I tip my hat. I'll keep watching for info. Sry I hijacked the thread.

I'm running the 3K on my 3590's for flower too and like them also how does the Vero 3K compare to the 3590's?

I have read here that the color temp is a bit better and from my experience the 3k seemed to be a bit less fluff on the mids. I figure at my age the 3590's will last my lifetime driven at 45 watts but I would like to buy 16 3k v29's then pull the lights out and be able to switch between the two. I put 4 3k 3590's in one corner and I believe I like them better than the 3500k 3590's but the cost. So now that it seems other cobs are coming out who knows. It's all good. Some are using 5k cobs and supplementing with far reds, uv etc. but I just keep it simple.

My 3590's are running passively @2.1 on 140mm pin heat sinks no issues at all

Hey Guys, fairly new to RIU here been trolling EXTENSIVELY over the past 6 moths and am now on to my first grow. Currently growing in a 4ft x 8 ft x 7 feet grow room i built with 5 plants (Pineapple Express) LST and now currently under a scrog. I am looking to build some flowering lights using citizen/vero cobs passively cooled. as electricity is 23cents/kW where i live (canada) so efficiency is somewhat important to me. After this grow i will be rebuilding by grow room as i no longer have the space for it, my new flower room will be 2 ft x 5 ft x 7 ft. plants will generally be grown grog style. @CobKits, could you help me select some materials for this??
I also have a small 2 ft by 20'' by 8 feet chimney shoot i have opened up for another small grow, could you please recommend some cobs for this area as well?
I am leaning more towards the citizen 1818 then the 1212 however any input is greatly appreciated

Will the new chip be available as a pre-built light engine? I'm looking at buying a second COB, but I'm not confident in building myself.
