LED VS. HPS

Hey guys,

I am finishing up my very first Grow and I didnt get the results I thought I would. I have 550w (actual) CFLS. I made the mistake of not training my plant and didn't get the yield I was hoping for.

I am going to start my next grow after I harvest this one.

I am wondering what would be the best light set up for a 48"x24"x60".

If I put 2 plants in this tent, how big of an LED should I get and any recommendations will be great! Or if I run HPS how many watts?

im sure those are good . cob kits above i take your word on it . they dont post any specks at all . the lights are the same spectrum . i wonder what the par read out is between color spectrum . to many unanswered questions for me i rather spend a big more get a different unit that has all the info i need .

THIS is what i would suggest also. I have the cutter electronics version but it's the same stuff essentially (maybe a diff driver and/or heat sinks).

Doing my first cob run (second grow) in a 2x4x5 tent and it's looking good so far....20 days since the flip. there are 4 plants under there but most of what you see is just one.

That's the size tent I am planning on doing. What was your yield on your first grow? How's it looking now? I'm going to get a cutter electronics kit I think.

First grow yield me 150g of decent bud. I hope for a bit more this time, but to be fair I am using less power and fewer plants....so who really knows. I'm hoping for at least 8oz between my one large Money Maker and the 3 smaller Abusive OG's.

My first go was just the Money Maker and I had 28 of them going to get that 150g.....they were given to me as cuttings, I rooted, then vegged for 3 weeks or so before flipping to flower. This time I started with one Money Maker with a LONG veg (avoiding A/C and summer heat) and then 3 Abusive OG were unexpectedly gifted to me just a week or so before the flip.

Here are a few pics for just now. Today is day 27 since switching to 12/12. Don't mind the second screen, I hung i recently with the thought of training the colas to a more even height but just part way into the proccess I decided against it....just haven't gotten it out yet as it's a bit of a hassle solo.
