Idk what is going on these rust spots showed up then I put some cal mag in the resivoir, thinking it was cal mag deficiency and it looks like it has gotten a bit worse since yesterday.

this is a dwc recirculation setup with a drip

Ph 5.56

Ppm 500.

Using gh flora trio at 3 or 4 ml of each part per gallon.

Topped up the reservoir a few days ago with a slighlty different mix , coz I was using directions on the bottle, changed to 15ml grow / 7.5ml micro and 2.5ml bloom

Only put in about 1/2 a gallon as a top up and I think it made things worse lolIMG20161107155348.jpg IMG20161107155400.jpg

There's a fair bit of iron in most cal-mag nutes, it can lock out manganese if there's too much.

For ph, imo anyway a ph of 5.5 is like the lowest you should go, might wanna let it drift up to 5.8-6.0. I like to let it fluctuate a little between 5.7-6.0.

For hydro.

Makes sense. I'm clearly not a hydro guy, and in organics, pH is less of an issue. So this is educational for me as well. Sorry if it appears I'm hijacking.

thats calmag def there brother.
Mix 1ml/L in water bottle and spray your plants. Your plants will get better faster feeding by folair spray.
Mix into rez tank, takes about 2 days until you see plant health going back to green. 5.5ph is great. Let it drift to 6.2. I like mine to be about 5.6, I let it drift to 6 and bring it down. 5.8-6.2 for DWC. 5.8-6ph best.
cal-mag def occurs mainly in hydro. also make sure you add flower nutes at week 2 of flower. or add it in, or your plants will suffer from the nute change.
