some type of deficiency?

you do, and it depends on the medium how much, soil just needs a little usually, hydro a little more, and coco takes a load in veg, which it will release back into the soil later, which can cause other problems if you aren't aware its coming

I have seen similar. I had a manganese deficiency recently that made yellow spots like his and then actual pin holes formed and the leaf started to perforate. Too much mag for a minute. Locks out stuff. We don't know what is happening exactly and it doesn't matter if a mild flush works.

But combination immobile nute deficiency can look like that.

I looked so hard and often for bugs it made me sick. There was only the mn deficiency.

I'm damn near positive that's an infestation. There's a chance it might be something else, but judging from the lack of rust color in the dispersion pattern, I don't think it has to do with Mg or Ca.
That's the thing the spots start out light that way and then progress to a rust color

Wait.. I see splash. Did you foliar feed with the light on? If so, I think you lens'd it. Maybe with a spray bottle?
You may be on to something....I sprayed them with spinosad when I put them in flower as a preventive measure. they were under the lights while still wet. although I've done it that way several times without seeing this happen
