I think I made a big mistake

I started fertilizing my plant when two spiked leaves appeared. I fertilized every 3-4 days and watered once every week. I've been doing this quite a while. (I flush every 2 weeks)

Is there some kind of visual indication of a problem?

Do your fertilizers say to feed every 3-4 days in the directions?

Are you allowing the soil to dry out before watering?
