Thanks for the reply!! But no definitely not mights. sorry I couldn't zoom in closer but the spots start very faint and then progress to a solid brown/rust color.that REALLY looks like spider mite damage, but if you say its not pests...the closest thing i can think of is calcium deficiency.
but its spider mites...
its within the realm of possibility that that is the beginning of Mag deficiency combined with calcium deficiency....but i'm still leaning toward mites
I fed heavy calmag in veg but stopped in flower. Maybe that was a mistake.I would have said mites at first. Your last pic says different. I agree with Roger. Calcium def.
You shouldn't need cal mag in veg especially heavy cal mag. That could have a negative effect for sure.I fed heavy calmag in veg but stopped in flower. Maybe that was a mistake.
Very true.he would need some if hes in coco for sure, and maybe in hydro. not so much in soil.
try to keep ph at 6.2 however it fluctuates to 6.4, using sunshine mix #4. thats when i started having the problem i switched from ocean forest. same nut program ive always had just different medium.are you checking ph? have to be over 6.2 to absorb mag. are you in soil or hydro or..? my friend that runs rdwc sometimes has big ph swings when the plants put on a growth spurt, like the stretch
yeah i know it lookl like some mite damage but ive checked and checked no mites. i have dealt with them before so i know how to spot them. so you think possibly too much cal mag build up from veg and now showing up in early flower? i am gonna flush and do the low dose and see what happens thanks for reply..To me that leaf looks full of salts. Too green too puffy. Too much calcium or possibly mag will start to do that to your upper leaves first. You may have built it up from veg.
Should always post plant pic then leaf pic. You tell what is wrong by where the leaf damage is on the plant.
If it were a bottom leaf I would say mag not calcium.
Read. Read. Read. It gets more confusing than this will end up.
By the way. Leech the pots with some fresh water and put back a lower dose of balanced nutes not bloom nutes and wait is all you can do if this is a container grow.
But I am not ruling out mites on those nice dark green leaves. Too much nitrogen brings leaf chewing bugs. They love the soft dark leaves.
i never knew that, never heard that if thats true than that is the problem excess calciumYou shouldn't need cal mag in veg especially heavy cal mag. That could have a negative effect for sure.
That isn't true. Especially in Coco-based mediums. Calcium, maybe not as much, but Magnesium? You're way off.You shouldn't need cal mag in veg especially heavy cal mag. That could have a negative effect for sure.
It's the safest way to handle it. I don't use the massive amount of water to flush like every guide suggests. I use a gallon of clean water. And a gallon of nute solution to replace what was lost. This is for a 3 gallon pot. i look for the runoff to run clean and check for high EC. And maybe PH but it should self regulate in a proper mix.yeah i know it lookl like some mite damage but ive checked and checked no mites. i have dealt with them before so i know how to spot them. so you think possibly too much cal mag build up from veg and now showing up in early flower? i am gonna flush and do the low dose and see what happens thanks for reply..
Can be true but this kind of thing depends on your water nutes and medium.i never knew that, never heard that if thats true than that is the problem excess calcium
