This can easily be looked at as a blessing; as a systems designer, worker safety is my top priority. Having an easily switchable UV source on a separate circuit is an ideal way to allow workers to work in daylight, necessary for best productivity while eliminating UV exposure.

Some UV lights, even florescent ones, are very powerful and potentially dangerous. Sunburns, skin cancer and macular degeneration are all strongly linked to UV exposure, so this is no trivial matter.

you don't need a lot of UV. only about 6% of sunlight reaching the ground is UVA. I use 5.6% UVA in my grow room and have experience no side effects but if you are concerned about worker safety you could wire your UVA bulbs on a separate circuit and use a proximity detector or some other device to turn them off when workers were in the grow room but too much UV is not good for your plants and matching the amount of UVA in sunlight should not pose a threat to workers but does improve THC production and flavor. burns are caused by UVB and you do not need UVB in a grow room. it's harmful to plants as well. but it is used in sterilization bulbs so you need to be sure your getting the right bulbs. the powerveg fs+uv may be an option

Lots of research out there about UVB being the best of UV spectra for use on cannabis. Blue and UVB and that's all you need at the high end.

Yes, agreed with safety shut off for UV light supplementation when people are present.

And yes, it's true that one can use too much UV, just as true as too much of nearly anything.

I have been researching every sci-hub, scholar and anything else in between about UV spectrum for the last 6 months....over a hundred papers with a not really a stance on for or against...Very inconclusive....so, what makes you so special cupcake?

Post your theory analysis please, there are 8 steps of formulating the hypothesis.....

you do need some red (620 to 680) to stimulate phytochrome conversion during flowering but absorption curve show that plant need a lot of broad spectrum blue and violet light

Tried some but it wasn't that amazing.

Actually I've heard rumours that the Diesel smell is sprayed on nowadays and I can believe it but I haven't smoked street meat in a long time.

So who in Philly wants a cut of some MNS Devil? This shit is great. Sativa dom but still has a indica high/kick but without the total couchlock. Floral but sweet.

Dude. "On the high end".

At the low end, there's even less doubt. Crank out those photons around the 660nm mark and you're golden. Yes, there are people who want to add more but IME plants grow just fine this way.

I wouldn't pull it out of my ass, I DID see the study. I read it thoroughly and it said that resin glands are most transparent to and active under UVB. 315nm.

Just because I can't drop everything I'm doing and go find it again doesn't mean I'm a liar. Fuckin RIU logic, that.

It also doesn't mean that study is the last word and its findings may have been superceded.
