current solar storms are 50% more efficient than those models they tested. that chart is pretty obsolete. the fluence that replaced the bml jumped from 1.7 to 2.1ish.

im not alone in my opinion that red/blue does not get a fair shake in PPF readings as their spectrums are actually far more active. id put the current 1.55 umol solarstorm up against the 1.7 umol gavita watt for watt all day long

Not a bad idea, you know someone that wants to buy a solar storm instead of any of the other options. I'm sure they are a good light but I don't want to drop money on that when there is much better around you know? But if someone has one then I can send out a DE HPS with a new bulb for the test.. After this side by side I'm trashing all my HPS.

I don't get what you're saying?
The light that has UV is the one w/ the bulb. The SE-450.
Those sites selling Amares have clerical errors everywhere.
UVB is what Amare uses not A. With that said, UVB diodes aren't readily available as far as I know & UVA ones tend to blow out. Like Mars n so many others.
So, to answer your question, NO the Pro-9 does not have UV but does have IR.
I've never grown tree as quality as I get from my Amares.
uv-b 280nm real uv-b leds are now beeing produced and are very special as they need only i think about 20mA drivecurrent and cost about 8 dollars a piece, but for those looking to diy a real good growlight With real uvb leds instead of reptile bulbs thats the route to og With an own small driver and off switch off course
