Raspberry Pi Dawn/Dusk Light Control

Just started work on a single channel LED light control that will include dawn and dusk fades... Got a digital potentiometer working that fades 0 to 100k under code control. Found it much easier to understand than PWM.

I've now added 3 relays and waiting on a 16x2 display to start the coding!

I think mine only has 256Mb memory.

Yeah, looks like version 1 - will still do all I'm intended to do, I was just gifted the Pi from a friend.

I got mine from the local techie for nix because we used to play on Steam together.

Waiting a 16x2 display and button kit then I'll have everything to start - got a 5v/3a PSU to run it all.

Set 3 variables (start time, day length, dawn/dusk minutes) and the code is virtually there - display will allow me to box it all up...

Sounds nice. I did a diy Arduino version with six channels. Lcd, buttons, rtc. Check out the code you might find something of use.

Would be very interested to look at the code please - can you attach? Pretty sure the code won't be too hard, just need to get my head round date/time handling in Python and should be good to go.
