Shit ill buy a 5 dollar shirt, ill also build a car from the ground up for 100k that would walk all over that lambo. Buying a lambo is like buying a yeti cooler. It may work a little better but most of your money goes on buying the status of the brand. Keep your shitty lambo and designer shirts. Im a man i cant keep clothes nice anyway why pay 100 bucks for a shirt and another 200 for pants that im just gonna fuck up in 2 weeks if that
I shop at goodwill. I found a pair of vintage button fly levis the other day.

I got more important things to spend money on like my kids and buying more rental property.

i hit the jackpot at VOA the other day. LLBean, Eddie Bauer, Land's End. Hardly worn jackets, lined pants and shirts in exactly my size :)
My dad started taking me dumpster diving at a young age.

Before 9/11 when you could drive on post without signing in we would go to the back areas where infantry trained and you wouldn't believe the cases of mre's that they would throw away.

I love bargain hunting at thrift stores.

Original engine tanked during a few about 20 psi runs, Found a 2jz for cheap, bought the mounts, deleted the smaller turbo , spent about a month wiring it and now she fly's :) But an rb is harder to find parts for , they are more expensive and I have always wanted a jz :)

juuuust under 20 psi huh?
daaamn...
the original ka24?
you boosted a ka24 with stock internals to 20 psi ?! Those things aren't built like the sr20s are
holy shit man...
yea, the rb is way harder to get parts for.
I had a 67 mercury cougar that I was prepping for an rb26det swap
mmmmm... boosted Japanese goodness in a classic...
but the damn thing was rusting faster than I could keep it painted...
heres my project ATM, fwd 210 hp sr20ve in a 2100 lb car
fun stuff

what fuel management are you using?
SAFC?

No safc , standard aem stand alone, conservative tune, pushing 450 ish on a single 67 mm turbo at 21-22 ish psi . I dont need any more then that, We tuned it up to about 30 psi once and at 80 miles an hour it would break loose from pavement during hard shifts (no thanks). Never dynoed it at that but it wasnt fun to drive. And yeah it was a stock engine and honestly we kinda wanted to grenade it to start the swap out right. Looking back on it I should have sold it and recouped a few bucks from the cost, live and learn

I hear ya man, my VVL is faster than my old avenir sr20det setup, solely because the HP is more "useable"
in a light FWD car ya don't want turbo power... too sudden..
but a niiice linear 210 hp that pulls to over 8k?
yes sir
