Clinton Campaign invites 20+ mainstream reporters to dinner

What do you want to call this? Dinnergate?

A dinner, where people can sit down and talk is a civilized thing to do. Come on man, nobody is going to be bought off by a dinner.
I don't disagree with you that a casual dinner would be a civilized thing to do.. if it were between a group of neighbors or friends.. A calculated dinner, held right before the democratic primary, with multiple influential members of the mainstream media is anything but. I would also like to think you are much smarter than to believe something like that was not scripted from the start.

BREAKING NEWS: CANDIDATE RUNS POLITICAL CAMPAIGN!

Sources are reporting that she worked to maintain an image in the eyes of voters, discussed policy positions with staffers, and even strategized on how to deal with the media. Such a scandal is unprecedented in all of American politics.

And certainly not fair to Bernie and his supporters.
I was a Sanders primary voter.

I worked for the Sanders campaign.

And you sir, are no Sanders supporter.

So you can shut up.

When Sanders lost, my support went to Hillary. I wouldn't do a 180° turn to Trump like some people imply, that doesn't even come close to making sense. Bernie hates what Trump stands for and has endorsed Hillary.
They will work well together.

That's fine if you have a differing opinion on what the media is and how they're supposed to act. But you can't complain about my opinion of you holding that opinion of the media.

I don't know man. It's been a long campaign and it's very close to wrapping up. The invite specified "Off The Record" and specified "the bus" of reporters who have embedded with the campaign for months. I bet the dinner will be a great way to blow off the steam. Eight days to go. This hardly sounds like a grand machination to manipulate the press. Dinner at John Podesta's home? I mean come on man.

I've worked on product development projects where towards the end we got together with people in another company and we sat down to a nice meal and drinks. It's a good way to wrap up the end the project. This looks more like that kind of thing than some subversion.

Maybe in the right library but you're in the unsorted paperback section

What Trump could (and couldn’t) do to restrict press freedom if elected

You're a pretty bright young man. I'm sure you have studied history. We can't go forward in time and study what would happen in a Trump administration vs. a Clinton administration.

But 'twisted symbiotic relationship' to you may mean 'for the greater good' to me.

Politics has always been somewhat dirty. Surely, you think that Hillary is a safer choice for the economy and the military. Trump is dangerously stupid. If that 'collusion' you speak of saves lives or even just avoids the suffering of an economic downturn, is it worth it?

Do you think a self centered billionaire, who sees this as a reality show trophy, is a leader with the people's interest at heart? Do you think cutting taxes to the wealthiest people would improve the middle class? Do you think Trump tells the truth?

You said this as well/a bit better than I'd have at the moment. Cheers -

Work together? He didn't even get invited to dinner. Hillary represents the exact opposite of everything Bernie stands for. Big banks and money on wall Street. Billionaires like Trump continuing to receive huge breaks and pay no taxes. With Trump, tax breaks are eliminated, and the 1% start paying their fair share. Taxes go down, and more people invest. The larger our economy, the more skin in the game. The more skin in the game, the more tax revenue collected. Should I keep going, or do you get the picture?

notice who liked your post, a white supremacist.
He also like'd your post, does that mean I should discount the content of it?
If there's any problem with the dinner, rest assured they would have all attended a Trump invite as well.

Reporters love free dinners with newsworthy people. Maybe Trump should have invited them and shmoozed them too.
Again, this is also a big part of the same problem. Do you really want a media that vies to shmooze politicians for access or one that holds them accountable for the bullshit they constantly spew?

"Hillary did it but Trump would do it too!!" isn't a goddamn argument against Hillary doing it for fucks sake! I'm so goddamn sick of this argument being presented as if it's at all valid!

Ya? Well I'll sleep better at night knowing Paul Ryan is the conservative who can put this country back on track again.
Paul Ryan is the man with a plan.
My vote is for Paul Ryan. I think he's going to play a key role in getting America back on track.
Time for Paul Ryan and romney
Stop hating on Ryan for attracting the ladies.
Smart women switch over and vote for Romney this time
