You may already be, but start from seed for the most vigorous outdoor plants. An F1 hybrid that is good for your area is the best you can get.

I love how people make growing weed so complex and such a mystery, it's easy as long as your nutes are on point, your soil is rich and you learn a couple of stressing techniques to promote more growth, strain is irrelevant.

Sounds like you have a good plan.

My advice is be careful not to put them out to early unless lighting schedules are adjusted to the outdoor light schedule.

This is the number 1 mistake most make, and their plants go into early flower, then re-veg, and that causes lower yields and sometimes affects the size.

Problem with growing big plants in Colorado is in reality the short season and relying on mother nature you have a very short veg season you one must have all the P's and Q's in order and with max light hrs pick a strain that does not flip to bloom @ them hrs.
I have grown strains that from clones will flup @ 14 hrs of light

To the above poster that is incorrect the warmer or hotter then will in fact create less density and more larfy buds just look at Sativa leaning strains compared to india leaning buds the reason is to help keep the plant or buds cooler

Fact is colder temps increase bud density


But again for instance morning temps are 6 degrees light hrs per day 11 1/2 ??? but being old temps plants are not growing untill tey hit there minimal range Arounfd noonish now you lost most of the days light your doing 7 hrs literally and hoping for clear skys at least or its even less light hrs

We aren't talking about genetics, we are talking about getting the most out of his current plants, where did he ask about genetics? Of course good genetics get great results,that's a given, but that's not on the context of this posters question.
