Accidentally topped autoflower while LSTing

Hello everyone. Long time lurker, seldom (well, this is the first time) poster on rollitup. I'm pretty new to growing cannabis, but I live in Uruguay where it has recently been legalized and I am taking advantage of my freedom. :)

I've already made a few mistakes this grow, though I've stepped it up a notch from last year... I'm growing my autos in 3.5 gallon pots of coco coir & perlite. Been using nutes at 1/4 and then progressively stronger ratios a couple weeks after she sprouted. Her little sisters are smaller and hopefully won't suffer such a cruel fate.

Anyway I started LSTing her just yesterday, but today I wanted to adjust the position a little bit because I thought it was too high and I accidentally topped her. :( What do you guys think?

Also, some small, lightly discolored spots on the tallest leaves, is that a sign of nute burn?

Any help would be much appreciated!

That's unfortunate, but it'll live. Just won't produce as much.

The spots, if not from bugs, look like they're scorch marks from beads of water sitting on the leafs in the light. Never get the leafs wet in the light or the water will magnify the light and burn the leafs, like using a magnifying glass to start a fire.

It looks pretty healthy aside from that. I wouldn't worry. Keep up the good work. Maybe for your next grow look into getting some 10gal fabric pots. Your roots will love you.

It's probably too early to tell, but is there any round figure I could get on a yield? I was shooting for around 25g, and thought it was a pretty modest estimate... think that'll still be possible, or did this mistake bone me a bit?

She's a Blue Mystic from Nirvana, as are the rest of my autos. I'm going to plant Wonder Womans shortly as the heat/light picks up. Might have planted my autos too early, but after they're done I'm going to recycle their pots and as much of the coco as possible to plant the freebies that came with my Nirvana seeds.

Thanks for your help guys. I think you people are going to guide me right along on my journey to become a half-decent grower, hahaha.

you could maybe root that top bit

Just feed it more N for an extra week or 2 after it sexies and the size should still be fine

What auto is it ? some of the sativa dom autos still top well most of the indicas don`t like it too much but you can normally get 2 to 8 heads on them still

I would watch for splashing or something on your hands maybe you got the tops wet or something got on them when you were potting them up ?

Hey guys, dont want to be a bother, just want to know before I botch my yield even more. After accidentally topping this girl should I continue to LST anyway?

Is 25g still a reasonably conservative estimate for what I can expect for her? I know thats incredibly hard to say at the moment.

I've never grown autos, just read about it. But I'd say yes, continue lst. It'll help light penetrate to bud sites. Just nothing too extreme once flowers form, don't wanna stress her out or provoke too much stretching. Maybe someone with more experience with autos could provide a better answer.

I think you will be alright as long as those other shoots have no issues rising up, only experience I have with auto's is I nuked the very first five I tried to grow. I see alot of people say to not top autoflowers but then again I see some say go ahead and top it if early enough to not stunt the growth. I think maybe has alot to do with what strain you growing really. I think it will be just fine though as long as keep good close eye during next few days

Thats fine, thanks for your help dtl420.

I took some pics of her today... The area i accidentally topped her at is now turning brown. Anyone that can offer some thoughts?
Not a problem at all. And the dead tissue where you topped is normal. Has happens to every plant I topped. Couldn't tell you why it happens, I've never looked it up. Guess it's because there's not any photosynthetic tissue above the cut to pull nutrients and water up to those cells. It'll be ok though. This will be a good opportunity to compare the results of a topped auto and an untopped auto.

Hope she treats you well and gets you high as fuck!! Good luck!!

Thanks you guys, you have been a great help. Im going to take advantage of the thread to ask two more quick questions.

1) do these smaller girls look ready to LST? Should i transplant them before or after?

2) which leaf set should I lst next on the plant I topped accidentally? I should wait for them to get longer first no?
