Any body fishing for or catching king salmon?

Im in the sacramento area. Ive only been out 3 times this year for a hour each time. I usually fish for salmon with spinners, spoons, plugs, or roe.

I havent been out much this year; but id love to see some pics and hear some stories about your 2016 salmon action.

This year sucked on the feather. I'm pretty much a professional flosser but most our luck this last season(over now) was throwing spinners first thing in the morning at the horseshoe side of the outlet .

Up at the gravel bar on the sac was decent a few weeks ago but pretty much sucks ass this year also.

Hows the american?

I've done everything you have on the pole above, but i don't have a boat anymore, so its mostly flossing for me

I'm over Tuolumne way so I think you'll have your weather come Thursday. How they bite in weather?

If I was still in Stockton, I'd be getting jiggy wit it on the mokelumne right now. I bet its on fire right now there.

The salmon are making nests in the Stanislaus by Knights Ferry this time of year. I try to stop every year to wave at them.

It would be awesome if the San Joaquin and tributaries have good salmon runs once again. Same with sturgeon.

They typically are more active before and during a storm/rain when pressure is rising in my experience. My best days are always in light to medium rain given the river isnt full of debris.

Check out the Clavey sometime i had just came back from fishing and prospecting there when I stopped by the casino and won
Gotta go for a hike(on the river)but its awesome there.
