Cheapest nutrients?

The number of plants was part of the equation...not the answer.
@MANGOBICHE,
You peaked my interest with the floor of dirt resembling possibly the start of some kind of grow or a vacuum machine commercial. ;)
Nice of you to get free stuff and to help people in need out. How much does she pay you for the product? Or do YOU give that away? In any case...so I hopped on the Botanicare website and found the usage recommendations of the Liquid Karma, 2tsp per gallon of water every watering. Which makes for pretty easy calculation for me as the 5 gallon poly bags of peat I grow in take almost exactly a gallon each watering. So lets see...
768 tsps of Liquid Karma in a gallon.
768/2=384 treated gallons of water. (Botanicare suggests 2-2.25 tsp per gallon)
384/6=64 (I grow 6 plants at a time)
64*4=256 (based on watering every 4 days)

So that $70 Liquid Karma would last me about 256 days...or about the same amount of time as a, now $16, 1.5 lb tub of Jack's Citrus.

You're right, you posted in the wrong thread. ;)

I wouldn't recommend going cheapest. However, whether you're organic or synthetic, Roots makes some bomb-ass Player Packs. $80 for everything you'll need for a few grows.

Dry Nutrients Player Pack (Organics)
Liquid Organics Player Pack
Soul Synthetics Player Pack.

Dude, JR Peters's has been providing growers with solutions since the 1940's. They are still around because they know how to grow and know what they are doing. There products are not cheap on quality or consistency. Their price is reasonable for many of the same reasons. Here, do not mistake inexpensive for cheapened product. Roots, I am sure, is just fine but certainly not inexpensive. That said, neither of our costs are that hard to recoup in one way or another.

Heavy metals are regulated in fertilizers in general and my state like many have their own level guidelines that ALL fertilizer products have to meet in order to be sold here. Regardless, I am growing in new peat every grow. Heavy metal problems result from build up season after season. It is not going to affect me nor what I produce. How about some $numbers with your "EASY + GOOD" but not cheap?
Easy enough to get numbers. Just go to Amazon.com. I find it most economical to buy the 2.5 gallon size.

The title says cheap, not expensive. My advice was not to go for the cheapest. And Roots is worth what is paid.

lol guys, put your dicks away.

I really like Roots fertilizer and soil, but it would not fall in the cheap category. Back in the late 90's I started with Peters 20-20-20 and that stuff still kicks ass today. Cheap and it works, so I'm also a fan of Peters(aka jacks classic NOT peters as in dix) lol

For me it's all about finding a product that works for you and making sure everything is dialed in. That includes dialing in your fertilizers to the strains you're growing.

If we are talking about favorites I'd rather have 100% organic water only soil, but right now I'm rocking Maxibloom with a dash of floralicious in DWC. It's simple and mixing a shit ton of soil every couple of months is a pain.

I misread that, my mistake. Prove you grow 200 zips from 6 plants.
Friend, please follow the bouncing ball. I described above that I just completed my second grow using the same 1.5lb, $14 tub of Jacks Citrus. I also add Epson and Potassium Sulfate but in minute quantities that don/t amount to more than $1 per grow. Thus, $8 in nutes per grow. My 6 plants consistently produce better than 20 zips each harvest. You still with me? 3.5 zips per plant is good but not extraordinary so I don't understand your doubt.
If $8 gets me 20 zips then $80 would be 10 harvests for me and 10*20=????. Just harvested this last weekend, the bud pictured above was involved. I hate to duplicate pics but here is a shot of the current harvest after fan leaves have been removed...you tell me if you think there are 20 zips there.

I'm pretty sure her post wasnt so much directed at you. So no need to be offended. Odg called you a "bitch" I'm guessing it was more about that.

And it did look like the convo was going in the wrong direction. Hence the reason I tried to get it back on track.

I have him ignored, I'll admit I called him a bitch, but it wasn't unprovoked. Nevertheless, I take responsibility for what I said.

That is specifically why I have him blocked. Not because of him, but because of me.

Hmmm..Ok. Not everyone gets my humor...and I am fairly new here and it certainly seems that there are alot of people who are wound pretty tight. Surprising, to me, for a weed forum....but who would have guessed that the clown Trump would be winning the Presidential poll here. Its a world gone mad. ;)

It's cool I have a fucked up sense of humor as well. @Olive Drab Green greens knows I like him, but he does get wound tight sometimes. Don't worry about it too much.

I think that one of the biggest problems with us as stoners is that we always talk in "favorites" instead of looking at it as what will work. Both fertilizers work great, but we all have our favorites. Sometimes we get to thinking that our way is the only way. Just bring up flushing or defoliation and watch what happens. Hey, if it works for you then go for it. I do have my preferences, but that doesn't mean my way is the only way. If we all thought like that there would be less arguing.

It'll never happen though lol
