Here are 2 pictures of the same plant. It was switched from LED to T5. The picture of the bottom shows LED growth and the picture of the top shows T5 growth. It is the same lights as I have been talking about. The big difference to keep in mind is that the T5 is less than a foot from the top of this plant and the LED light was well over 3 foot above.

Those are 15 inch pots. The two on the right are over 30 inches. Notice how you cant see through the bottoms, especially the one in the middle?

People grow coral in 3 foot of water with t5.

If you dont want to use cobs dont. but I know for a fact based on my grow that cobs have far better penetration and denser growth than T5s.

Next time you are in my grow let me know so I can show you what I am talking about. Since you know more about it than I do you must be in there.

I meant that pot is 15 inches wide. That was a reference for the height of the plant.

I don't know your grow experience. I don't doubt it lost leaves.

Now you can figure out what really caused it or continue to claim the t5 did it.

I will continue to call bullshit on the t5 doing it until you show a pic of before and after the problem preferably with the light source shown to.

No. Just calling bullshit. Here you say it was a fungus or something that killed them. You don't know what did it, first fungus and now t5.

I like the idea of pots. I had something go threw my plants killing them and it was in the pots. A fungus or something not sure what it was. I had been reusing my coco for several years at that point with no issues. Well I lost $7200 in electric before I figured that out. Pulled the pots and used new coco and the problem was gone.

That would spread fast in one large bed and be harder to get rid off should you need to. Just like seperate flower rooms will help you prevent the loss of a entire crop pots are the same way. Another thing to think about is if you use a recirculating system. That will move things around pretty quick also so a drain to waste may be better.

Now that being said, cob led is more efficient and will grow bud. I'm looking at going cob but will still have a couple of t5 tubes with it.

As the way things look and after this thread I'm sure Ill go with citizen cobs for a fraction of the cost of cree.

I'm sure it will be. Its crazy, they are in every thing.

They make some really small chips that go in things like flashlights. I have a little flashlight with a chip that takes two AA batteries and its like a spot light.

Not a loss unless you sell,ha.....................osram, lighting science group(ecosmart) took over the 40/60w replacement bulb game too while they where sleeping. The newer, cheap cree "4 flow"( small internal heatsink using convection) bulbs at big box stores are a POS, high failure rate==== Enclosed fixture/dust is a killer, Cree reduced the warranty from 10 to 3yrs and efficiency was lowered from 84 to 74 lpw......genius!lol

TBH, I have no idea if you should dump it or not
