black magic potting soil

Just curious if anyone has ran black magic potting soil with any success? Hastily grabbed a bag at home depot for my first grow.

Black magic is good stuff, I've used it and everything came out nice.

Thanks for the heads up. I really like all the amendments they have in it. Is it a "hot" mix?

I can't remember if it was hot or not but I mixed it with some other soil and perlite and all plants came out good without any bad burning. Good luck

I eneded up using the first bag outside in my flower bed and they loved it. I ended up doing a slurry test and it seemed pretty light. It came in around 6.4 pH and 115 ppm. I might use it as a seedling mix on a few sprouts I have popped. I think a lot of people are confusing it for black gold by mistake

It works good but its really expensive for what's in it, you can get the same thing by just buying a couple bags from the same store and mixing them together.

I'll be honest, after the slurry test I did there can't be much of the ingredients they have listed in there. Its good stuff, just weak I believe. My flower garden looks awesome though

Old thread I know, but I've just been reading about this stuff as they sell it here in uk... Which is weird as this is miracle gro's product specifically aimed at growing cannabis plants!
