i have a plant that is about two feet tall and it hasn't produced anything yet. i live in the nothwest (us) and i've started to supplement the plant with bloom that is high in phosphorus. should i take the plant inside to start a 12/12 cycle? or should i flush the plant?

I would just leave it go no reason to rush it. Our days are getting longer because of the position of the sun. You could probally leave it go till november right after the first freeze and have a 4 ft tall monster. Let mother nature work it out.

When did you put the plant outside?

Does the location receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day?

What strain is it?

Except for the non-flowering, is there anything visibly wrong with the plant?

Do you know the first average frost date for your region?

i started the plants outside and i'm not sure what strain it is. i just know that my brother gave me some seeds that he quoted was good bud. and it gets pretty cold up here and the temp is already under 50 degrees. is it just the frost that effects the plants or the temperature as well?

early july, got a late start. i was on a trip overseas. smoked a lot of hash in england that's all they seem to smoke
There's your problem. The plant is most likely in full vegetative mode due to the late start. The decreasing natural light cycle should trigger flowering soon.

Find out the first average frost date. The county agricultural extension will know. Learn that and you will know for sure how much time you have left before danger of frost.

it says that it'll be about till the beginning of november. but that's just the freezing point. i can't really find anything about the frost and when it will be coming.

That is your first frost date. Which means you have until November 1st to finish or make arrangements. 51 days.

put the plant in a shed or some place dark from 7pm to 7am
i figured since the fall exquinox is going to be the 22 or 23, and its just around the corner i thought that it might just naturally just get into pre-flowering. i've only noticed a little color change on the stem of the plant. i'm not sure if that is pre-flowering but that is my guess. it has small stripes of red going up to the top of the plant. any guesses?

its probably not getting enough light, like flowers that are in my back yard don't bloom cuz they are in the shadows most of the day
