Let's be straight forward, I grow marijuana and sell it for profits. Not major amount but enough to get by, my question is should I be worry about my profits after the legalization of prop 64? How much would it cut down my prices and profits? If so how long til I see the effect of it? Thank you guys.

I think the prices should drop significantly since anyone can get a license and grow it in their yard, no?
I wonder if anyone from CO can chime in on this topic?

Lol we will find out in about 2 hours over here in the west coast. But my prediction is most likely it will pass, I also did a little more research and it seems like it should be ok for the next couple of years. After that, we gotta hop on something else like all trends.

It means you will have to have a license or a set of licenses from grow to selling it, if it's not for personal use. I suggest you get a lawyer or at least read your own law if your not going to get one.

High Times has a 3 day old article, on their site, about prices after legalization. He sez. down to 3 bucks. I don't buy it 100% but he does throw out a case.

I live 2 hrs away from Massachusetts which has just legalized recreational use, and I'm not worried at all. I grow an excellent product with a good variety at a price that matches anything in a dispensary, and I deliver. I have a loyal customer base that knows is isn't worth the hassle or cost difference, which there isn't really any difference anyway.. Bud is still going for $350 a zip for top shelf at a store, and that ain't going to change for the near future as far as I can tell. I'm not dropping my price and will still make money.

Yup I can also confidently say that my product will match up anything in the clinics around. I also read up an article about props 64 in California, one of the thing said was that there is a "five year delay on large scale licenses" so it means big corporations won't take effect til another 5 years give or take if they even get pass by regulations. Thanks for replying Jimdamick. Also anyone from Colorado wanna have a take on this?

The "Full Length" version of Prop 64 (all ten pages) says that the State wont be authorizing any "Official (State sanctioned Points of Sale" until January 2018. So you actually have over a year to plan ahead.

The prices, in legalized states, have dropped a little, but not that much really. Which kind of supprises me because I always thought the reason for the inflated price of Cannabis was because of the illegality issue.
