I am using a KindLED 750W in a 4x4 grow tent. I can't offer much at this time outside of Putting young plants under full power will make them crispy critters real quick...lol....I am still going through the learning curve on the one I am using. Currently I have it set at 18% Red, 35% blue and 35% white...30" above young plants. I just lowered it 10" today because my plants were stretching. I have 2 plant going into their 3rd week and 3 plants going into their 2nd week under it. I am watching them closely since I burned up my test plant. trying to find that semi perfect distance. Recommended is 23-35 inches. But they didn't specify at what % of power. I am assuming 100%.

There is virtually no heat coming off the KindLED. The problem is the brightness of the LEDs

Close the tent and shut down the ventilation and check back in 30 minutes. I bet it's well over 110 degrees in there. If you put 6 fans on top of 500w of anything you won't feel much heat, if you could turn the fans off that thing would glow cherry red.

True that. My buddy started growing about the same time as me... although he did little research and ended up with a Kind 1000. He kept telling me how my 1260 watts were gonna be impossible to control temps... Guess he had never seen actual efficent CXBs.

... Also he never showed me grow pics past like week 6 of flower and doesn't talk about growing at all anymore... Actually avoids the topic..

When I am asked a question I answer it based off of what I know from personal experiences, not what I have read or heard. I am still in the learning curve using LED lighting. So in the process I burned up a test plant not from actual heat that you feel coming off of the LED but from intense light. So I over compensated and turned the power way down on the lighting and raised it up causing stretching. So it may take me awhile but I will get it by trial and error. Eventually; using it correctly and growing nice plants. At that time I can pass on good information on exactly what this particular lighting can and can't do. I enjoy the learning curve and hopefully will have good solid information to share after a successful grow under it. @ cuddlesthesheep; I hope to show you nice photos after 6 weeks of flowering. I will keep at it until I get it down. My current plants are not progressing as quickly as I see some posted on here; but then again the poor things are going through hell being raised by a noob.....lol......However; they are doing ok so far.
By the way The lighting you have in your aviator looks to be a great setup. Reading some of your earlier posts it appears as though you didn't have a good experience with KIND?

For your own benefit next time someone asks about heat you should have a better understanding if you just test this. Shut down ventilation and keep an eye on the temps. If your on a 4x4 I bet a normal count would be inline with the temperature as it increases. Many kind led growers quickly learn the truth about this light and lights like it so if I were you is hang around and keep your eyes open. Kind sells lights based on advertising only and not light efficiency that was brought up a few hundred pages ago.

start 73/57% 74/56%
10 min 74/55% 75/56%
20 min 76/54% 76/56%
30 min 77.8/52% 77/55%

I would guess after 8 hours at that level hot as hell...lol...Most any grow light put into a closed tent over an 8 hour period with no fans or exhaust will get hot as hell I would imagine.

I guess the point i was trying to make is that kind from experience and actual data produces a lot more heat then most other grow lights available. Growmau posted a doc from university of Texas or Utah where they put the light in a sphere and it came back at 22.5% efficient. That means the light actually produced is much less and a lot more heat then you would expect. For instance cobs are in the 50-60% efficient range and cmh is 43% efficient. Basically kind used the cheapest leds in that light and stuck a hefty price tag on it.

yeah i know it would get hot.i wasnt trying to argue,just curious how high the temps would actually go before you had to turn on a fan and exhaust it.maybe a timer going 10 mins every 4 hours would keep it right at 80f which aint too bad really

Very well could be. I leave the exhaust and other fans on during light hours.

Among other reasons maybe that is why my plants are slower growing than what I would like. But there are other reasons as well...like.....the grower doesn't know what he is doing and is learning as he goes....lol.....All I can say at this time is my current plants are not dead yet but there is still time. I have a 2' 4 bulb florescent agrolite available. Based off of LED issues as it relates to light would you suggest I add the agrolite to the grow tent to compliment the LED at some point?

I have a friend who does very well with the kinds. Not sure how considering they are better heaters than lights and that's unfortunately fact. I think the addition of white light is the only real solution while keeping the kinds going.

So i tried plugging in one of the twelve light crees tonight. Blew four of em. I think i need a power regulator. Lmao. I forgot that part.i still have another one of these 45 watt and i have a 180 watt i havent broke yet. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I took these from an off road vehicle. Never converted them. Just hot wired an ectension chord in
