I'm all about high porosity! So I use pro mix HP 3.8 CF bale and mix it with a 4 CF bag of course perlite. I AVOID VERMICULITE personally. It holds the water like a sponge. That's completely the opposite of what I'm trying to achieve. The added perlite allows the medium to hold more fresh air and during flower my pots get watered every other day. That's what my goal is. Yes the medium holds less water but this allows me to feed regularly and stay on schedule. I don't like the results when the medium holds water for 5/6 days!

ProMix HP goes good with anything. I've been using it straight out of the bag with hydro nutes for a few years. Just made a couple blends of the HP with the ProMix organic potting soil that has the myco like the HP and some nutes in it, (50/50), and one with the ProMix Vegetable and Herb mix. 1/3 HP with the rest V&H. Added coarse perlite to both so it's like the HP is all thru.
Repotted my 6 plants with 3 in each mix to see if there is much difference tho I don't really expect to see much.
All stocked up with soilless for the winter.

The whole concept behind SOILESS MIX as asked about in the original post is that it's devoid of nutrients. So when adding foxfarm soil or anything else that is supplying nutrients you've deviated from the question.
Personally I wouldn't mix the two. But that's just me to each their own. By not mixing the two you're starting with a "blank" slate. This means there's no nutrients in the MEDIUM unless you put it there in the form of nutrients. I use a complete nutrient solution. I do not follow the labels and mix them in the ratios needed for the exact point in grow that the plants are at. I also know my medium is PH neutral. That means as long as I balance my nutrients correctly. They're in the right amount as needed and the medium is in the "best" condition for availability to the plant.

So after my nutrients are mixed I adjust accordingly. Since my medium is neutral when combined my PH is exactly where I want it. My first and most important rule is Keep It Simple Stupid. KISS

promix hp w the good bacteria already in it and a handful of milorganite. then just use a regular nute mix whatever your using. the milorganite is an amazing slow release N and if you only do one application with any veg time its ate up by flower. Its human guano, made from city of milwaulkees poop.... Some say its really bad with heavy metals but that was based on an old old analysis which lead the city to separate its residential sewage and industrial sewage to lower that metal count. I used to use it on my lawn and you can spread it on the hottest driest day of the year and no burn, and my grass was always greener and juicier than the neighbors who used all sorts of pricey stuff so I gave it a whirl blended in with my promix and really happy with it. Little extra snack blended in for the veg..

I've never used it for cannabis or veggies, but I may very well try it at some point I put it on my ornamentals and lawn and it makes everything look great I like the idea of the slow release phosphorus.

As far as soil-less recipes go, Gritty Kitty kicks butt. Equal parts ProMix HP, rinsed coco coir, and special kitty all natural clay cat litter from Wal Mart. For nutes, I use Mills A-B which is made for coco & works great with gritty kitty. If using regular nutes, you'll need extra cal/mag.
