I could use some advice for an LED light.

I am thoroughly confused having read all the LED light reviews. I have 3 plants that I would like to grow and would prefer to use American made products if possible. I was thinking of the Platinum 600w ...would love some guidance....anyone?

Thank you for the quick input. Yes, the Platinum is too expensive so that is why I am looking for a more reasonable option. I will read about the pre-made Tasty and Northern lights. I will keep doing my research.

IMO Platinum isn’t all that expensive if you take into account they back there product with a 5 year hassle free warranty... almost all other major brands won’t back their product after the first year. I just bought 2 P450’s there my first LED’s I used to use a 1k watt cool tube. And so far I’m extremely impressed with them.

I agree that's not expensive at all my first led was kind leds xl 1000 that's expensive now I've been making a cob or two so much better. I mean the kind is nice but can't beat cobs.

I have two of these on 6 of my ladies in a 5x5 tent and my girls are growing really great so far, no heat issues, easy to daisy chain, overall a very solid light. I am just flowering now but the Veg time went fantastically. They are on sale right now too so a great time to buy! ( ONLY $89.00!! ) Also I will say I haven't even noticed a difference in my electric bill. I honestly think you will not be disappointed. I am a new grower but I will say I have to keep these lights pretty high off my plants or with how intense they are they start to photo burn my babies.

Platinum LED is crap. It's no different from Mars Hydro and whatnot except for a fancy package and a focus lens in front of each monochrome.

If you can't put the money into cobs, I'd go with cheap monochromes (like Jubilant linked) or with a traditional HID (HPS, MH).

The quickest of searches would have brought you here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/platinum-led.863351/
- Epistar, cheap chinese
- Deliberately misleading in both marketing and on their website

In other words, it'll grow bud, but you can do a lot better.

I have six of those aquamana lights I had on my reef tank theyre several years old and they are pretty good for vegging with. None of those 3 watt epistar have burnt out. And you can run across them for fairly cheap. I like my kind but cobs are far better without a doubt. Adding the us and ir spectrum in is a big plus too.

Yeah. I wasted money on a p150, I still have it, but it's surrounded by Vero18's and 3590's. My plant gets some semblance of UV.
