Hi, I'm in southern Ontario, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a clinic (even if I have to pay) that would provide an original document and could PM me or post the information. My family doctor does have my history of complaining of daily pain and reduced quality of life (as well as seeing multiple specialists for attempted diagnosis) for years. We finally determined by X-ray that an anterior osteophyte on C5-6 was the cause of my shoulder and arms pain. However my family doctor won't prescribe me marijuana, he says he has no knowledge of it. I checked the cannabinoid clinics in Barrie (where I live), and I couldn't find any that would give me an original document, even if I could get referred from my family doctor. One lady even gave me a speech about keeping the economy of the LPs going for people who are too sick to grow their own!!! This is beyond ridiculous.....

It's a shame my original doc passed away 3 years ago. My gp will sign me up to buy from an lp but not to grow wtf. So now my original doc is gone. should I be forced to pay money I do not have or go without.....

Ya he said that the diversion from the old system makes him lery I told him about how that was proven to be false in the Allard case then he proceeded to tell me that no one and he means no one needs more than 5 grams a day. I told him I am holding on to mmar pinks and see what the judge says this is fucked....

ask you Dr if they know about extracts?
the ony medicinal part of the plant is the rosin/trichomes (not sure of spelling) and that's why you need a higher grammage.
if you took 1 g of oil, that's 15 g a day if it's filtered down to around 30 g per LB.
5 a day would only be to smoke and that's the most harmful. i would ask why he wants you to use it in its most harmful way-smoking

Trust me I tried to edumAcate the old doc but he was having no part. He even tried to tell me that my deppressions root cause was the cannabis I expermented with as a teen.... Wtf

Not so and many people are juicing leaves from male or female plants to get all the medicine in them too. I use the strained pot from my cocobudder batches to add to pancake batter, banana bread etc as I know there's still goodness in them. After sifting kief the finely ground remains either get further extracted with solvents or used in baking too.

The whole plant and nothing but the whole plant so help me Jah! :lol

Thanks buy still no help as to a Dr. who can help me . I'm at my Wit's End you know the doctor will prescribe me Percocets but will not give me a prescription for marijuana? How come when it's a marijuana prescription it's all the sudden some magic voodoo document that you can have? I don't want to take percocets I just want to be able to grow my own natural medicine that greatly improves my quality of life. The licensed producers frequently run out and then since you're bound to only one of them you're screwed. It's a nightmare system we have. Does anyone know how to help me..

Being a highly-paid successful working professional with years of chronic pain history I am so angry that I can't get my legal prescription from my doctor or any of the other so-called ACM PR clinics.

So angry I can't decide whether to pay to sue someone or pay some reasonable doctor to prescribe to me what should be free.... if anyone is suing health canada or the federal government i'm interested and will join the class action and pay my way. I will also pay for my prescription up to 200$

i didn't write the paper i got that from. i believe it was Dr Pate that said that.
i use the whole plant to make stuff but if you think bout it-making oil, how much do you throw away? you only take the "good stuff" and throw away the rest.
smoking-we grind it up so we use the whole plant there.
you use the left over and eat it? i have never heard of that. i might try that.

I know with some nutrient formulations (like DNF) it specifically says not to eat leaves due to build up of Molybdenum..

they even sent me a thing to rate them. after the crap they have pulled, they really don't want my opinion!
my nuts are just getting numb from being kicked so many times!

I hear you about the absurdity of most doctors. They'll give me all sorts of fluoride-based anti depressants to try, then switch to the next type of poison when that doesn't work but look at you like you got two heads when you inquire about a recommendation for pot.

I was getting Demerol for my bum shoulder for about 3 years but he cut me off that because of pressure from the college as it's addictive. Then he offered me Cymbalta as a substitute because it's supposed to work good for that kind of pain he says. It's a f'n horrible anti-depressant that hooks you worse than opiods and he was more willing to off-label prescribe that than OK me for pot. I was getting 30 Demerol every 3 - 6 months and only using them when the pain was really severe. Was not using any other pain meds and he knew it. Sound like an addict to you?

Have you tried contacting some compassion clubs to see if they know of some compassionate doctors? That's how I found the doc that signed me up while I was out in BC in Aug.

we are constantly under the scrutiny of doctors,specialists pharmacists ,healthcare workers..and everyone else involved with medical pot
I get drug tested at every visit to my gp...usually once a month...or so...that's right 12 visits a year required to stay on opiods
and with random pill counts and the patch for patch program....all designed to make us feel more like junkies...
I am tired of it all...its too much work to be sick....I cant jump thru many more hoops....

Thanks yeah, you really have to watch what some of the Dr.'s will give you, I feel you there. I am following up on a lead from PM, but might have to try some areas of Toronto in person; because after the busts I have no idea who is open or writing scripts. It seems like it's a lot harder after the goons kicked all the doors down and busted sick people and innocent baristas. I hope compassion clubs/dispensaries are part of the strategy if this eventually gets legalized. I know I did call growlegal at one point and was quoted as much as 500$ per gram per day of your script. I am not sure if this is still reality though.

The LP nugs are all Duke Nukem'd, like who wants to smoke microwaved weed? And these other threads I see here about them using pesticides and fungicides, meh. Maybe they are good for people too sick to grow their own...I guess.

The whole ACMPR and access issues are almost comical to me at this point. Well, it would be if it didn't seriously affect my ability to manage pain.

well I really hate to sound to optimistic but, I think I found my doc to sign....
talked to him about cannabis, he was well informed and said cannabis will work for me.
he knew what forms i needed and seems to think 10grm/day is very reasonable.
he sent me for xrays and took copies of everything that I brought with me.
this is the best part, I asked how much this would cost. he smiled and shook my hand and said no cost.........

I'm in exactly the same boat.
Piss test every two months and 3 month script max for mj.
Dr admits to knowing very little about mj but yet still argues his points on what he's heard.
It's maddening.

Only thing worse are strangers that make a face when they see me park in the disabled parking spots. Because people choose to be sick for all the glamour.
