In my neighborhood we have that free every weekend, but its yellow and says crime scene all over it..
Thanks GuyLeDuche! Is that ground wire or is that the actual planter's tape that I should be looking for? If it's ground wire, I'll consider that too. If it's the actual planter's/gardener's tape, thanks for showing that to me, now I know what I am looking for.
Oh, it's the same tape that I see on construction sites. I'll consider it. Thanks for the awesome tip!
I will take a look at it. That looks like a great idea! Thanks! It's usually just called garden wire I think, it's basically just baling wire with plastic coating, rigid but flexible.
I like that breathable medical tape.painters tape works for minor repairs, not as sticky as regular tape, comes off without taking half the bark under it with it
I know that some people use it in hydro to prevent root roti dont have any peroxide on hand if shes still kicking tomorrow (seems stable) i will do this. ive never heard of doing this but wth. thanks for the advice
That's exactly why I'm a fan of starting seeds in rockwool cubes. I see a lot of people having problems with germination and with seedlings. I never really have those issues with rockwool.I prefer sand paper over peroxide for thick coated seeds. Just roll up some sand paper with the grit in and put seeds in it and shake or line a match box with sand paper.
Damping off is not from the seed case. It is from bacteria. It loves the same environment as sprouting seeds. Warm and damp.
Don't over water and don't use covers or plastic over your cups or pots to help prevent it.
Its also the reason I don't use extra steps when sprouting. Handling sprouted seeds can damage the very fine root hairs. That damage allows a place for pathogens in.
I prefer rapid rooters with since I work with soilThat's exactly why I'm a fan of starting seeds in rockwool cubes. I see a lot of people having problems with germination and with seedlings. I never really have those issues with rockwool.

Take a look at the plugs that I recommended. They work great too. It is my understanding that they are made of nothing but organic material, so might be exactly what you are looking for. Good luck!I normally never have a problem.
I normally plant, water and that's it. I like to plant to final pot with autos.
Sometimes it happens.
Ill order some rockwool and give it a try.
