Yes for sure you only use the nutes once a lot less salt build up.
I run 2 different timer for the first 3 weeks I will run digital timer that run off seconds. I will feed them 4 times a day for 15 seconds just less waste and use very little nutes.
Then I will start to use a digital minute timer the hole idea is to aim for 15 to 20 of waste a week.

I did ebb-n-gro and found it was hard to maintain as bacteria built up and so did salts.

Do you have the waste go straight to drain or have to dump it manually?
Makes sense about the salts building up as well as uneven nutes based on plants uptaking what amount of each they want and leaving unbalanced npk in the reservoir.

I have to dump it manually but I need to no what waste I am getting back. I run a 220 litre drum what I call the brain in there I have 2 pumps one for the feeding and the one is in there as a mixer. the size of the pot are 50 litres over here you can get a pot sock that come in 30 or 50 litres

Makes sense to check ph and ppm of waste.
50ltr=13.2gal so thats a nice size.

I only check the waste to see the amount I get back for ever over watering which is just wasting nutes or under watering

What fertilizer(s) do you use?
I just used GH when I did hydro, because its cheap and couldnt afford the AN line up, and heard it was just wasting money. I dont know either way.

I use superior blend they are also cheap but very good it is made over her. I have tried all the good ones and always come back to it The hydro shop that I shop at makes it its a very old recipe

I cant find much info, but looks like has high N for flowering, but cant argue with results!

Most stuff I see has less N and more P for flowering, I mean significantly different
