Storing clones/cuttings.

Few questions.

I've come to understand that cuttings can be kept refrigerated for 2-3 weeks without complications. Would light in the fridge help them out a bit?

What if I don't have room in the fridge? Can they be kept like that in room temps and for how long?

I'm interested in the canning technique, leaving few inches of water in the bottom for the stems and putting the lid on. Then opening the lid once a day.

So basically no need for the fridge? Just put stems in RO water and they will survive?

I would need to keep them like this for at least 2 weeks..

What ever for?
Cos I'm not ready to start vegging plants yet. I want to be able to leave them aside until I have time to start a next grow.

What are you cloning from ? WHEN? I mean I don't see where the needed delay is coming from?

Now then, as to storing. The only way they would store at all well would be to place them in a shot glass or something with the stem ends in water! Thing is, they will start rooting ........ I still don't see whats wrong with placing them in root riots and at those 2 weeks they will be rooting, maybe ready for the solo cups and veg just in time.....You should have the space your worried about. Available by then

I'm 6 days in 12/12 and I'm about to take cuttings for the next grow. I couldn't yet imagine myself starting to veg new plants as old ones would be still flowering. I could find a room for them to veg, but I'm worried they might get too big too early for me. Understand?

root em and if they get too big cut about half the sun leaves off, that slows them down for 10-14 days till they grow most of them back

Hmm.. yea.. maybe I should just focus on slowing them down. Good point. I don't know why I've come to believe that fridge method is good.

So it's definitely okay to put them in glass of water for a week before sticking to cubes?

RO water?

Wait! One more thing!

Can I put bigger stems in the glass of water so I could later take multiple clones from one bigger stem?

Or is that kind of stem too big for the glass of water?

It would make it all much more easy.

Would bigger stem stay up in the water or does it need to be clone-size?

to take cuttings from a cutting, the original needs to be well rooted.
IMO, its better to use a cloner, or cube, rockwool/root riot
but they will eventually root in a glass of water

Take twice as many cuttings as you will need.. place 6-8 cuttings per glass of tap water.. change water every 3 days..
When you get ready to use them.. re-cut the stem.. dip in cloning gel .. place in medium.. they don't need a lot of light..
But they do need to stay warm and moist.. Not wet!

Unfortunately I have no time atm to take 440 cuttings and stick them into cubes. I will have that time after about a week.

But the thing is that I'm 9 weeks into flowering atm which is about the last time to lollipop my plants.

My question is - can I take bigger stems that I get from lollipopping and put them into water for a week until I get time (after 1 week) to take all those 440 cuttings from them?

Your plant is 9 weeks in flower and you want to clone it?? I always take cuttings before I flower!!
