Harvested dry crumbly buds

Yeah maybe a metal shed/building or heater like you said ....that's about the only way I could figure it drying so quickly ......I keep my drying room cool dark and use a very low fan to push air around gently not at the buds just moving air in the room .......if the room starts to get the heavy warm humidity feeling I have a window unit set up to exchange the air with nice fresh air .....
Yeah like wtf my last dense buds went 10-12 days hanging 3 days in non airtight boxes and still 70% in jars.

They were way frostier I feel like too. This was my first time. I didn't read enough during each stage in the beginning....I never topped. I think I over trimmed the fan leaves. I had some light leaks....stressed them out.....They actually look better in the pics than in my hand. I will try to bounce them back though.
All part of learning ....but now you realize that the harvest dry and cure phase are just as important as growing the plant ......I hope they turn out decent for you ....@whitebb2727 will boveda packs help him or no ......I'm old school I don't use meters or any gadgets all by feel for me .....

My pics above hung for 5 days ...very dense and heavy and that's with me controlling the environment .....but I like to start my cure wetter than most people ....I dry until the stems snap but don't brake in half and the buds outer feels dry ....if that makes sense

I think taking off the leaves may have stunted your bud growth. do you have a pic of the plant before harvest? and what kind of light?

My stems don't snap. But they are not wet either. I never go to snap. When mine feel crunchy outside is when we pull them and process to non-airtight, get a meter read on them and let them sit in the boxes for a day or 3 untill they hold 60-65% in the non-airtight, then on to jars. they are never over 70%.

Now my fluff is a different story that is dry in 3-5 days then into trim box for tincture.

Sounds like you dried and skipped the curing step. Not to worry, you can re-hydrate your bud. Here's how:

Put your crispy bud in a large sealable container. A Tupperware bowl w/lid or large glass jar are both good. Cut down a solo cup so it is just 2 to 3 inches tall. Take a paper towel and fold it so it fits into the solo cup and add enough water to soak the paper towel. Set the cup inside the container straight up to make sure it doesn't touch any of the bud. Seal the container and check every 4 hours or so. Reefer re-hydrates a lot faster than it dries so you have to check your container early and often.

Good luck, BigSteve.
