Getting ona gel need some help

Hey guys I am going to get ona gel to control the smell in my room and I wanted some opinions.
I don't think many of you in here use ona gel because it seems most of you have carbon filters and all that stuff, but I don't have that option.

So I looked at a vid about ona gel and the guy opened it and he said it reall really smelled.
When you use this you don't just take the lid off and leave it off. The guy said to take a spoon full out and put it on a plate with a little water mixed in.

Does this sound like a good way to reduce the smell or do any of ya's think I should do something different, like put it in a cup with holes in the top?

I thought you were worried about the smell of MJ impacting your children.....I would think the fumes from Ona would be way worst than the natural smell of MJ.....but what would I know, I don't have kids

I am not sure if your room, tent or whatever you grow in is sealed but for less than the price of ona gel you can buy a cheap ozone generator on ebay, wire a power cord to it, put it on a timer and problem is solved and you don't have to keep re-buying ona gel. This can be used anywhere to kill odors completely. The cautionary disclaimer is you do not want to be exposed to it constantly. That is why a timer is good, or just plug it in, run it awhile and then unplug it. Basically use as needed. Works amazing. Just read up on it a bit and the possible hazards. This is your best bet. You can be exposed to it but just not excessive.

I have something like in the link below. I use it rarely because I don't need to, but its great to have. I use it all over the house where an odor needs killed.

If you can afford ona gel, you can afford a carbon scrubber

The DIY walmart scrubber that is stickied is less than $25, or a high quality brand one for $70

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. I'm gonna take a look at one now.
I don't wanna get ona gel because it would make all my clothes smell like it and anything else that is by it.

Should I put it right in my grow room (bedroom) or outside my bedroom. Also why can't it be on all the time. You really helped me out here because I might get one because they are real cheap

Lol ya but I'm not worried about the smell for my little joey because I have my grow room and he has his toy room downstairs. I would def. agree with you that ona gel won't be an option because it's just too strong and it will make all my clothes and everything else smell of ona.

Take a deep smelling breath

Than throw it out and see why we don't suggest it right in your grow room

Prolonged exposure can cause lung problems. I would put it in the grow area and run it once or twice a day and adjust as needed based upon smell. It doesn't need to run very long to kill the odors. I grow in a room where my baby doesn't go into and I wish I could see what your grow looks like because I'm using cfl's and miracle gro. Let's see how nice your plants would turn out if you had that kind of setup. Also, at least I have a baby and a girlfriend, which I'm sure you will never have in your life doobie lol, you amuse me with that name lol. Your funny man, you just made my day lol. hahahahahahahaha.

Hey buddy thanks for the reply. I don't know why everyone hates me all of a sudden, I'm really a nice guy that doesn't want any problems.
I read about the ozone generators and how they can mess up your lungs and stuff like that but at this time in my life I don't care, I just want to grow a nice plant successfully. I'm gonna run it like you said, a little bit at time. Thanks again.

perfect, little joey can have lifelong respiratory problems so OP can grow 1/4 oz of shit weed, this is the kind of thing that causes the DEA to link a small grow to a meth house in the media... just fucking amazing. why not just lock the kid in a hot car?

Ya I'm glad that I came across the ozone generator because that ona gel will make all my clothes smell, plus make my plants smell and taste like that stuff.

I said I'm growing it in a room where he can't come into, I don't let him anywhere near my grow.
I don't know what OP means lol but don't worry I won't lock him in a car, thanks for caring though. Wow you ppl can be real asses sometimes.
