Green stuff On coco?

so I noticing some green fungus maybe ?

Is my coco contaminated ?

I hand water when it feels half wet weight of the pot

Whatever it is, I'd let it dry out properly before the next feed. Like until the plant is almost wilting.

Scrape it off with a spoon or something

Ok I JUST gave it a light fed , next round I will see if I'm able to scrap it off.

It will probably scrape off easier when wet. I think that it may not be drying out enough between feeds. If not, humidity in the room must be well high. It's more than just scraping it off I know, Why is it there is important. I have had similar on soil grows in the past, in my early days where I overwatered. I just looked at it like soil life. Like algae on a fish tank.

Yea I should wait more in between feedings. My room humidity is always on the higher aside

78-80 for temps. Also seen the rh is 50-65%. So yeah I'm going with overwatering. Any more contenders lol

The environment looks to be good for vegging.

A plant can hold a bit of moisture, even when it's about to be watered, providing the temps don't go too high. Have a little play round over the next few feeds, learn how long it takes to start wilting, after the point where you normally feed. If you have been overwatering, your plant will be happy with this new change and growth should speed up

It's algae. You can cut back on watering a little, since it needs water to survive and flourish. You can do a hydrogen peroxide flush and scrape away the algae, but if you water heavy then it will probably come back. You can put something around the top of the pot to prevent the light from hitting the topsoil. I have seen people make reflective disks and put them around the stalk. I have also seen people just bury the old with some new topsoil or coco. I use coco chips to cover the topsoil on all my indoor and outdoor pots now. Seems to help with a few things.

If you heat sterilized the coco before using, does that kill the trichoderma?

Algae or moss.... harmless either way
