Help, girls wont stop stretching, 28 days since flip

Hi guys,

Theres 5 plants in the tent, one of them is taking over the whole tent and stretching for the light. Every day she gets an inch or two closer. Should I just bend all those tops?

Im a clumsy bastard due to an injury, so anything too tricky will result in broken stems and damaged leaves.

Any advise on how to tame this lady?

seeds are random bag seed, pretty sure its some sort of Indica hybrid.

lst or super cropping would be my suggestions.. either or..
the tops still look thin enough that you could probably get away with some lst, if not, super crop them.. lst is tying them down with some string and pulling them down to gain some more height, super cropping is a bit different, you have to kind of roll the stems in you fingers for a second to break the cell walls, then you can bend them down ..
check out some youtube videos to get a better idea of what's involved before attempting either if you're not sure..

If they're suple enough to bend with out super cropping I should do that , right? I only need to consider super cropping of they wont bend for me?

Any danger of shock if I lst? How about super cropping, that seems bound to cause stress.

you can do either, i do super crop a lot in flowering, or you can lst, really your choice.. and no, lst is low stress training, pretty much stress free imo, won't do a thing to cause stress to them..
like i said earlier though, the tops look pretty supple still and would probably be pretty easy to lst.. just take it easy, and don't pull them too tight at first and you'll be fine..

Ok, so super cropping is not for me.





I just tied them to a tent pole instead. which seems almost as bad. This is my first grow so my only goal is finishing. Im tempted to chop her down to give the others room. Any advise?

Dude that sucks! But it's your first grow so don't get discourage. It's a learning experience and as far as I'm concerned you can learn something new every grow.

Thats pretty much my attitude. I want to do all my really noobie mistakes in my first grow. The last thing I want is to fail before harvest and then in my next grow make a noobie error during harvest.


Would you try to repair that stem with duct tape?

You should be able to repair it. I've used duct tape before, but you may need to secure it to the tent pole or something for a few days until it has a chance to heal.

Super croping to risky might branck branch off. I say cut top bits off don't do straight wait till someone says if good idea

Get more light and lst they won't stretch as much and supercropping in flower if done properly is harmless I been doing it for ages
