These are at what I call my apocalypse plot. Didn't quite have a spot for them, they were in party cups from the beginning of May through mid June, transplanted to 1 gal then 5 gal mid july( 5's due to being behind) im happy how they've turned out.
Those cat tails make good cover. Does your roots go through the bags down into the marshy ground below?

A little look at how I do things. That frame pack has been a life saver.

if you look to the left of the bigger plants , you can make out a severly neglected plant. I had her with some plants that looked to be male, but was still early. Honestly once the bulk of the plants were sexed and transplanted I just lost focus on those and treated them all as if they were male. Well, I I saw pistils on this plant today. Transplanted her into 5 gal of soil with fertz today, I'm exited see how it bounces back.

Shaping up nicely

Now this is a first for me... I snapped these males at the base over a week ago, they were not this far along

View attachment 3750463nature is resilient, these plants especially. They've been sucking water from the swamp mud with no roots, unreal. View attachment 3750461
Well.. some nearby plants may get seeded

An early stumbleweed x swamp skunk f1. They didn't get as big as the ones in my other spot. They were transplanted a week after. You really gotta give those early varieties the root space right away. That's gonna take adjustments in the future. Due to root restrictions they couldn't really stretch, and now the bud sites are very thick already causing some mold already :-(

yep some of the fives already tapped in. Went to check the bottom drain holes to check root progress and already anchored in. Thing about cattails is your buds collect the fuzz. Need a good rain to keep it down before its air born. Still not a huge issue

So here's the story behind the apocalypse plot ( just in case plot).
I brought most of the plants out the first week of june some had a later start so i brought them out about 10 days later. Got dirt in the bags grabbed the jug and ran to the swamp to fill it. On the edge of the swamp I saw an area of tall grass cleared away and looked down to see a dozen or so basically seedlings in a small area. I could tell they were older because the stems were slightly woody. I think they were planted too early then stunted. Anyway I'm having to collect my thoughts as I was going to put plants down this stretch. I moved the ones already transplanted far enough away where I was pretty comfortable, and put the ones in cups in some thick stuff getting partial sun until I figured out a game plan. Other than today I went there one other time to see if the person visits, well it turns out they don't. Either way I think I made a good move20160807_103526.jpg

And so I found a home for them mid June maybe a bit later.20160807_122555.jpga couple girls at the apocalypse plot I felt worthy of 10's, they are photos and still have growing to do, got them in today. They'll thank me later. There's one other I may transplant next time I'm out, the rest are too far along for it to be worth it20160807_115536.jpg

A look at one of my watering holes. The rest are pretty well the same. Its basically 1 ft muck/ swamp dedris, 6-8 in of water. 20160807_122204.jpg Gotta bury the jug in the swamp muck at an angle, push the debris away from the opening, hold my hand over the opening to screen debris some. And once the silt/muck has settled let the surface water run through.

More from the apocalypse plot

You should've seen the 2 on the right a few weeks ago they were barely anything.

Just about everything's flowering along nicely now. Waterings a hell of a chore this time year, every 2-3 days is starting to suck. Thought I was gonna die out there yesterday probably lost a gallon of sweat. Hopefully the rewards are worthwhile :bigjoint:

The cola on this will be massive just wait

Hit this with some pollen yesterday. One branch with an early swamp skunk male, and another with a nice branching male(swamp skunk x Random) I'm exited to see the f2s from that. Will try and work out the later phenos.

Well I went out today planning to water some and cut the top off my swamp skunk. Watering wasn't to bad a few rain storms helped out this week. It seems like the gals in early flower drink a lot more than late flower ones, although I guess that would make sense, as the plant/buds are pretty well done growing. I got to the swamp skunk and after staring it down for a good 10 min I decided to take a few buds and sleep on it. I'll probably take the rest of the top tomorrow I just have such a damn hard time bringing myself to harvest, i always say, eh it could go a couple more days. Got some buds in the dehydrator for the morning to test :eyesmoke:20160902_175633.jpg 20160902_175713.jpg

Well I took the of the top off the swamp skunk, it was plenty ripe. A few lower branches will go a little longer.20160903_111612.jpg
20160903_111554.jpg
So after my f1s all budded up I have a few showing heavy stumbleweed traits, I sure can't keep track of plants but I'm good at keying in on traits, especially when I like them. This here is one I have no question about, everything about this plant from bud structure to smell is taking on the form of stumbleweed, what u think Getaway?

Some f1s

the difference in bud structure is quite apparent between the f1 depending what side they're leaning

This f1 is leaning toward stumbleweed, other than a good chunk in one of the colas no mold to speak of. All the f1s have held up well for mold, minimal or none at all and harvest around the corner is damn good20160903_103909.jpg

Had some heavy storms roll through, all the plant faired well, one had a split stalk, but it was waiting to happen the way she grew. None of the leaves were wilting so I tied it up. It's a week or so away so she'll pull through. Got another round coming through today

Sorry for the lack of updates, Its a busy time, between cutting out mold and watering I'm not getting out until near dark with little time for pics. Gonna have a good lot coming in next week, 10-12 plants so that will take a lot of sweat off my back, literally and figuratively. I cut a lot of mold out of my little shits, basically half off 3 plants. Over all down the rest of the the plants which are my primary poducers are holding up well so i cant complain. I took down the rest of the swamp skunk and also an f1 that took on the side of stumbleweed. Nice hardy solid buds all the way up and nothing worth mentioning as far as mold, held up excellent, just what i like.

20160910_113511.jpg
So I just started cutting colas and realized shit, I gotta let the people at riu see her before its in, so here it is minus 2-3 tops.
20160910_113546.jpg 20160910_113530.jpg
I went back to fix the plant that split better. Glad I did because the storm that came through was pretty rough
and I don't think my previous quick fix would have held up. Here's my electrical tape job. Also retied the stalk to counter lean and tied together big branches and snugged up the netting.20160910_104002.jpgHere's a shitty pic of the plant20160910_103837.jpg
