Calcium and magnesium

I've grown twice now first time was deff newbie learned a lot. Second time was way better than the first bit I have had calcium magnesium def both times. Both times I never really fixed the issues. Cuz is go back n forth between thinking it was too much cal mag or too little.
From advanced growers I was wondering when using a reverse osmosis how much do u raise the ppm or ec of calcium or magnesium or if using Humboldt cal mag concentrate how much? I know each strain is different n requires a bit more or less so I'm asking for how much is a good but safe amount to use every watering or every feeding...using fox farm dirt which is known to be lacking in calcium I ph water every time around 6.1 to 6.5

100 to 200ish ppms. Little less for seedlings.

Thank u so very much...second question...newbie question....does garden lime dissolve in water in which the calcium n magnesium dissolve in the water. I have done this before n it seemed like my plants didn't get worse nor better

Which lime are talking are referring to? Dolomite lime, calcium oxide, or calcium hydroxide?
Most liming agents shouldn't dissolve in water and are best mixed into your chosen grow medium.

If you can find it, use powdered limestone instead of lime. I am suggesting powdered limestone(aka: Calcium carbonate) because once the microbes breakdown limestone, carbon dioxide is left in the soil.

If you are adding a calcium source, also add soft rock phosphate and powdered gypsum.

In regards to ph of your water, if mineral level of your grow medium is high enough you will not need ph up or down. You will not need ph up or down because the minerals in the soil balance the overall ph.

The best way to be a better cannabis gardener is to continue to educate yourself on botany, agriculture, soil biology, and if you go grow indoors... electricity.

Fix what? He didn't describe a problem. The only thing he did say was that he had calcium magnesium deficiency, which does not exist.

Cal and Mag are two different things.

Sorry dolomite lime...sorry to clarify I had plants tht have been showing calcium def. And plants with magnesium and combos...def was caused from light being too intense and because the light was too intense(1000w de hps) the plant couldn't get what it needed to leaves fast enough for intensity leading to such problems. However our tap water is pretty clean 200 ppm and when lights where being at 650 early stage they showed minor magnesium deff and adding dolomite lime helped
