More plants just means less veg time.. nothing more nothing less
Lets say the guy you got those clones from constantly pulls 3 zips a plant with the exact same setup, then its safe to say 3 zips or more per plant is successful.Ok, let's try again using all input.
****ALL HYPOTHETICAL****
Veg:
You are using all clones from the same mother for each "trial". All clones taken are 5-6". All vegged for 6 weeks under 400w MH. They remain in 5 gal Smart pots from 2 weeks on to finish in. Only topping
Flower:
5x5 area with one 600w HPS. Two fans across from each other for optimal air flow. 8" exhaust fan pulling through a cool hood. Rotating plants daily to maintain optimal coverage.
Would it be crazy in this situation to get close to 300g per plant under one 600w
***Edit: organic soil
I understand that, but at the same time...if I have one plant and get 1gpw all together and put another plant in the grow area, would the gpw go down or up? I'm sure it would go up. But would it go down "per plant" so to speak. Like if I added a 3rd plant...the weight would increase, but per plant it would go down. Continue this process until late you peak, is that what you are saying?Wtf are you blabbering about? The light can only cover a certain amount of space. Whether you fill it with one plant or 3
5 doesn't matter you'll still only get what the light is capable of producing.
If you veg one plant for however long it takes to fill a 4x4 area And you get 1 gpw is no different then vegging 5 plants to fill the same amount of space. There's no difference , your overall weight will still be similar because at the end of the day you're just filling a 4x4. Obviously with more plants you veg less because there are more of them and you're not just relying on growing 1humongous plant to fill the entire space.. so yes if you fill the space with 1 plant it will carry all the weight because you only have one. If you have 5 it will share the load because you have more then 1.I understand that, but at the same time...if I have one plant and get 1gpw all together and put another plant in the grow area, would the gpw go down or up? I agree with the peak, obviously you can't get more than you put out.
6 plants. Each plant has 900W of COB LED to itself, and 24 sq ft to stretch out on.@ttystikk just got a little over 32 ounces off one of his many plants under his 5400 watts of cobs. I said under it's a vert grow so not really under and I've been there but can't remember if it was 6 plants or 8
Oh damn, I can't resist mentally masturbating to some killer data porn...No matter how you calculate it out, its a very simple way of looking at your yield - how much did your ventilation cost, nutrients, electricity, etc. Most grow houses publish approximate yields per square meter and I guess that's the best guide...
You could get anal like me and record lots of data! There are several pivot tables off this data too, so I know how feed totals relate to yield.

That's a good way of looking at it. I was mostly looking at it as more of a goal and not an efficiency thing. But since you brought it up, I would have to agree like most of us would, growing enough to help facilitate the next grow is always a plus.I would rather look at ppe
Plants per electric bill...... lol
As gpw don`t matter as long as I`m not over loading the electrics
its nice to just have one plant per 1/4 (3 months) and say "that one pays the electric bill and nutes" then another one for "seeds and new equipment" maybe even one covers both yay
leaving 8 to 16 plants for enjoyment and curing
the worse thing is when a fan or such breaks and you lose a crop and still have electric and such to pay for it....... even more so when the person that was supposed to be doing regular checks is the one with their hand out for electric bill money.... lol
And this.More plants just means less veg time.. nothing more nothing less

Where did I miss the post about peaking. Good info I'm just missing a piece here?If you veg one plant for however long it takes to fill a 4x4 area And you get 1 gpw is no different then vegging 5 plants to fill the same amount of space. We have em and it allows anyone to see your times on and off as well, my graph of daily usage is quite telling .There's a government program in the UK to roll out new electric "SmartMeters"
https://www.smartenergygb.org/en
These will allow UK growers to work out exactly how much electricity their grows are drawing and how much it's costing them...
That's fucked. That's an evasion of privacy man.We have em and it allows anyone to see your times on and off as well, my graph of daily usage is quite telling .
For your own grow its not a bad measure of getting better as most costs stay the same.I'm still in the camp that there are far too many variables to compare one grow with another. If one guy runs a 400w, but has a kick ass hydro setup you can't compared that to a 1000w setup in soil being fed miracle grow! None one seems to mention the wattage of their ventilation system - surely that can be a a large lump of cash that needs to go into any formula!
You need to work out a formula that applies to your grow only and then compare your own grows to each other if you adjust wattage/feed/ventilation/etc.
Sorry that's misleading, not anyone just the corporation and who ever else they let have a peek .That's fucked. That's an evasion of privacy man.
