I have a Few questions,
I've ran with a 600 a few times
Now running with the 1k
Bulb is a bit older

My plants are always around the same size, but with the 1k should I be feeding them a bit more in flower?
I usually fees all about the same
Bassicly since there's more light are they gonna eat more ...????

Next question is with the 600 I usually harves around 9- 9 n a half
Wks

Will flowering time be shortened with the 1k

Anybody with advice for someone who's grown a few times with a 600 and switching to thousand
All advice welcomed!!!

i'd worry most about the lumen depreciation in an old bulb.

they might eat a bit more but the most noticeable difference will be higher quality bud closer to the bottom of the plant witht the 1K

600w hps and 1k hps

hf digital ballasts ?

1k + super lumens so 1100w ?

600 + super lumens ? 670w ?

I like a new 1000w lamp sometimes if you run them at 600w they can last a really long time, lol

Yeah depends on the genetics but with a 1k your heat will be up a tad so they should drink a bit more this should mean they get more food without you feeding more

air exchange is important remember if your air exchange was the min you needed for that 600w then you`ll want to exchange 20 to 50% more air now you have a 1k to get faster growing or more yield

your plants should finish faster or bigger normally depends on the grower and strain

If your not feeding the max ppm`s the strain can handle in that set up then obviously feeding a bit more will help

I would feed one plant 10 to 30% more nutes and see if it yields more or finishes faster

then go from there

Parabolic reflectors are great probably would have given you more yield then going over to a 1k if you set up an 800 x 800mm or 1.2m x 1.2m parabolic reflector but if you can cool the room with that 1k in a parabolic then all you need is a fresh bulb

you`ll want a spare bulb anyway I`ve seen them blow in 3 to 6 months sometimes they last a year or 2 if your lucky but you wanna change them every 6 to 12 months to get max yields and frost, biggest down side to hps bar how hot the lamps get.

new bulb for under thirty bucks shipped...

https://www.1000bulbs.com/product/89437/SUN-901531.html

you should feed more once they are blowing up, depending on you setup/medium. an old bulb will be like a new 600w

flower time shouldn't change, but you may shave a few days off with a NEW bulb...

flowering time is generally flowering time, whether you use cfl's or the sun, or anything in between...
