12/12 from seed with a Hps light yay or nay?

I'm getting a 600w hps mh combo kit tomorrow and hopefully some fucking seeds this week. I've only really seen it done with with cfls and it seems slow... would a hps be more effective? Or would it even be worth it?

Just veg a mother for a month then take 12 cuttings all the same size and go for it! Repeat cycle every 4 weeks and you harvest every 4 weeks. Simple as fuck!

to me its a waste of seeds that soon if you have a small space let it get big enough for a clone or two then flower it while clones in veg

Grow a mother, take cuttings, veg to half of what size plant you want, flip. Its that simple, also 12/12 start will have slower growth it take about 4 weeks for them to mature anyways. veg 24/0 till you get desired size.

I'm not that dense dude. Plus I'm thinking take a mother veg her up and then monster crop that hoe into a ton of Lil clones. Stabilize them and then 12. Maybe that would be like Lil bud sticks. Novel idea

Well I'm new here i don't know the personality's yet.
I prescribe this roa, have a mother, take cutting of no less than 2 nodes, top them 2-4 times, don't top until roots are officially established.

Yeah the idea sounds good but keep shit simple till you get used to a strain, then start playing mad scientist.

you will end up with a very unhappy little plant. Veg 2-3 weeks and u will yield 3 times as much

Ya just a novel idea. I committed to this about a month ago and haven't had any more than a few bag seeds to play with Wich I drowned. So needless to say a lot of personal studying and also reaching out to some experienced guys for advice. Trying to get my shit down to science

If you ran that 12/12 idea by them and they didn't shoot that idea down within a second they are not experienced enough, are you growing bag seed or something with a name? Keep a log book with all the variables (ppm,ph,growth,bulb distance,strain,temps,humidity) take notes each day if you want to go ocd about it. Have you ran a scrog idea through that noodle yet?

nothing wrong with it. heavy sat, ive pulled 2 zips off those party cups

great way to burn through stock, reveg the keeper as momma

12/12 from seed works great though. like anything it has its pros and cons. i would use 3 gal pots though. party cup is just kinda playing around







as far as hps, ive ran a variety of lights. i run hps start to finish

I'm all set just waiting on seeds and playing with ideas I have 0 experience. I put a bag seed into a taco bell cup full of yard dirt and cat shit and it grew for two weeks but I don't count that

lol bro... cat shit? I suggest hydro if you haven't already bought soil, either a ebb/flow table or deep water culture (DWC) but, since you will be doing moderate volume cloning I would opt for the ebb/flow setup.
