Ya don't do the swamp thing in a crowded area :(. If I saw the same boat heading into a swamp more than once it would tweak my spider sense lol. I never head in if there are boats there or if near hunting season I'll cut a few reeds for the duck blind in plain view of the traffic. Also here if you post a sign where your planning to hunt no one will go near it ....... Cool eh lol.

Thanks for the advice guys, yea I was kind of weary for open banks on the stream but inland a little bit would be good or yea a small creek or pond would be perfect. ill scout out some spots in the forest this fall. There's a big patch of forest behind a train station in town that one of the other growers on here told me about, so I may go look there since I could go by bike and then I may look in actual forests outside of town, go by car or somethin first then hike... I like the idea of getting to an out of the way place by dirt bike or kayak and then having to walk from a landing point or somethin. Lastly, it would be pretty wild but there's a cemetery around that has land and bushy shrub and an electric fence, I could grow some autos in there :O that's pushin it tho, I'm lookin for a big remote place for some Sativa monsters. In any regards, just trying to plan everything out and ready to go come spring time

Between three sets of kin, my extended family owns a mile of river front. About half of it has houses across the river, so that is out for getting water. But even on the other parts, the fishermen and tubers are getting so thick it is risky going for water. I still grow the land, I just have to catch rainwater or pack it in.

The road to the boat ramp goes by the house. Most days I'm out in the garden and see who is going by. There are at least two boats that I think are growing. They are only gone about an hour and a half. Most fishermen I know are just getting started in that time. I bet they are going downriver {where it's wilder, with less people} to check on their plants.

Most of my patches are on private land, so I know who would be hunting on it. I have one cousin who doesn't let anyone hunt her land. She lives out of town, and I would hear if she was coming to visit. But there isn't a good road in there anyway, and neither her or her husband are the woods walking types. That is where my 3DT, JP, SEE and DDW patches are. It is a little hairy getting in, but once I'm back there, I could stay a week and no one would be the wiser. And there is water that is easy to get to as long as the planes are not flying.

Well I just looked at the brothers grow and he's got his in the middle of a swamp willow forest so direct light only 4-5 hours a day then shade, using powdered miracle grow, and knows shit about growing. There the same clones as mine, I gave them to him and I was looking down at the ground walking in and he goes "no look up" fuckers were 8-10 feet tall lol. Time to get back to my roots, keep it simple like we used to :).

Lack of water is what is holding my old ass back. I have a wet weather pond I will try for a Spring crop. But the grass and weeds are only 3-4 foot tall. Wouldn't work for a full season crop. There is plenty of brush nearby, but that is the worst place I have seen for deer. If I grow there, fencing will be involved.

Ya same here and my choice in nutrients I think being it's organic fish emulsion so at least I can feel righteous lol. And I actually seen a guy run his plants along the ground and as he spread the branches out he'd pin them and cover the stalks with dirt at like 12" intervals. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen, looked like a cucumber plant and huge lol

I've staked mine out to form a hedge like plant when growing in short pines and weeds, but never covered with dirt. Did he add any rooting compound, or did they just root on their own? I have had my eye on some young planted pines, but didn't do anything in them this year but one plant {the Deer Ate CP1}. And I put it where some volunteer pines are 10-12 foot tall. Most of the planted pines are 4-6 feet now, so they will be over 10 foot next year. I might try a few hedge row plants there next year.

Nope no hormone and yes they did produce roots, I planted mine in cedars and juniper this year, works well.

I've been at work all day. Lots of catching up to do here. Larry isn't it amazing how different southern Florida is from northern? Southern Florida is all flat and Sandy swampy soil.
You guys are more than welcome to post pics of anything you'd like here.
I didn't go organic this year because being that I just moved to this place I haven't had time to do my serious soul mixes like I normally do. Next year is 100% organic though. I've gone with the botanicare lineup though because it's about as close to organic as you can get while still being a readily available nutrient line. Some supplements are fully org. Though.
