Just bought a trellis net today and was all excited to put it up and then realized I'm not going to be able to water my plants if I weave them through a trellis net. I have a 4 by 4 grow tent with 8 plants. I usually take them out one-by-one and water them and then put them back in the tent. Does anybody have any bright ideas? My tent doesn't have a back opening.
I had the same problem with my last crop. Canopy was nice and dense, but the buds were leaning over and eventually even taking them out of the tent was too much of a pain. Ended up putting each pot in a tray but didn't do much runoff the last two weeks.
Turned out fine, but I need a better plan. The drip system sounds like it has merit.
Instead of 9 plants in a 3X3 configuration, I may do four plants in larger pots. Probably 15 gallon cloth pots.
The downside of big pots is that it's hard to stay on a strict nute schedule that changes frequently. I am a big believer in runoff at least once per week to prevent buildup and eventual lockout. Hmm... could turn a kiddie pool into a giant tray by shaving off the top two thirds. Then I could shopvac the runoff out of the pool.
Just thinking out loud...
