I'm curious about that to. I did a 4x8 scrog Netting this year on one plant to try training/supporting that way vs tomato cages vs bamboo stakes.. So far I'm loving the scrog, the plant was started in March and already filled out two layers of 4x8 - should of put up bigger netting. Training through those things seems to allow for much faster growth than topping from what I've seen.

I've never topped, and always SCROG.

Yeah maybe I will try mainlining vs scrog next yr as a test of yield.
Might be hard to break me of my ways as of right now since I can't get them in the grown any sooner ... so I have to do what yields best for me in this environment.

I mainlined last year. I scrogged this year and have no intentions on going back.
