I am SO tired of coming on these forums and hearing all of the haters. For example - someone reads about grows in a set-up they are not familiar with, and start bashing. Yet, THEY don't have any successful harvests under their thumb, lol. How do they know? Because they smoke the herb I GROW, and then bash? Where are your harvests? Where is your EXPERIENCE?

This really makes me laugh. I have been tokin' and growing longer than some of you KIDS have been ALIVE lol. I am not saying I am the almighty in pot growing 'cuz I'm not. Nowhere close.

BUT-

The following are "tricks" I have actually DONE, and have not just read.

I will present different techniques I have come across on these forums and have wondered about, and offer first hand experience.

Feel free to contribute, bash, offer advice, amend erroneous info...i won't be offended.

#1. You can't grow weed with Miracle Grow.

Answer- WRONG. You can...AND very SUCCESSFULLY. Back before many of you kids were born, I threw beans in Miracle Gro potting soil. Never added anything but water, and harvested some amazing buds. Even did it under CFL...sure the harvest was minimal...maybe 14-29g, BUT not because of the Miracle Gro ... it was the CFLs.

Point is, if you have-
1. Correct ph
2. Temps/humidity under control
3. Proper lights

you WILL produce.

Look, Nitrogen is Nitrogen, whether Miracle Gro makes it, it General Hydroponics ( both are now owned by MONSANTO...LOOK IT UP)... Go ahead and pay the man with your slave money... Me? I am growing fine without calmag, gh nutes, advanced nutes, or any of the other grave robbers lol that call themselves COMPASSIONATE.

#2. Giving your plants 24 hour darkness before flipping to flower

Answer- when I did this, my plants FREAKED OUT... BUT, they shocked only for 24-36 hours before settling down. I did this with a RESERVA PRIVADA Kandy Kush...she was a clone, and ended up being phenotype"fast blossoming indica dominant" ... she showed pistils in SIX DAYS..... but..... I also ran

#3. 11 on 13 off light cycle for flowering

Answer- plants did wonderful, don't feel I lost a lot of weight, but then again I am not in this for the money.

it is my PASSION. I LOVE THIS PLANT and all it brings to humanity. Should be free and available to EVERYONE.

Hence this thread...more to come as I "experiment ".

I used to trim my bud on the stem and hang them before I trimmed the bud off the stem like this:

I bought a drying basket that I initially just used to dry fan and trim. One harvest I was really busy and just trimmed the bud straight into the basket. Cured out exactly the same. I no longer waste time trimming them on the stem and always go straight to the basket.

Sounds like you're lookin for arguments. Why would you start a thread and immediately start talkin down to people? How can you say you've been growing longer than you "kids" have been alive? You must've been growin some looooong flowering sativa's considering you just started your 5th grow. You wanna explain your math I'd love to hear how you stretched 4 grows over 18 years to gain all your knowledge. The only part of your post that has any credibility is "Don't believe everything you read, EVEN what I wrote here." truer words have never been spoken.:clap:

No MG will work it's just not a good choice. My first grow several decades ago was using mg and it was ok; tasted like shit and I picked it too early but it did grow pot. Respectful disagreement requires some level of respect....

Myth #1 you need to ph your water....
If you are growing in a baggy soil there's no need to ph your water. If you are growing in coco or some other sterile hydroponic medium then you do need to bother ph-ing your water but otherwise forget about ph altogether. Your mix should regulate the ph & if it doesn't then you need to transplant to some fresh soil in a larger container.

Myth #2 increased darkness before harvesting

This one is true. When I am about to pull a plant to harvest I will take it out of my bloom room & leave it for 48 hrs...some go 72hrs but I notice very little difference between 2 or 3 days of darkness. Not sure if it's because of increased trichome production or if it's just another couple days of ripening but it does help tighten up the buds & increases protency of the final product once cured.

Myth #3 flushing
If you grow in an organic mix & do not use any kind of nutrients flushing is a myth & totally unecessary. If you use synthetic nutrients you do need to flush out salts that buildup over time. I hate the term flushing and prefer to call it watering. Give your plant straight water w/zero nutes at least every other watering and stop giving nutes in the final 14 dayz before harvesting. Whatever you give your plants during their lifecycle will be deposited into the flesh of the plant; no amount of watering can remove that once it's in your plant. This is why cheap crappy nutes can make shitty tasting weed even if you flush them well. This is also why organically grown herb is the best tasting; there's nothing to flush out because the plants only take what they need as opposed to being force fed.

i know mj can be grown im mg i have done it ma self mbut with no nutrients? Just water? And it was dank. Come to the fuck on!!!

I use mg currently for veg plants are green and very happy . my current brand stop making it . so I went out on a limb mg plant food its a liquid 1 teaspoon per gallon works very good only 6 bucks can treat 500 gallons . also I mix the same mg in flower along with my flower nutrients that are bought at (KMART ) by Kgrow very good numbers 45 10 15 . so after 3 weeks of flower using the mg I mix 5 teaspoons per 5 gallons of water along with the Kgrow 3 teaspoons plants are very big under 1000s of watts they can take the heavier percent of nutrients . the results I love them big green dense plants rock hard . and for the mg soil its not the best soil you can use I have used it back in the day when I was broke as shit I did very well with it as well its a lot of work getting it prepped lot of clay chunks and you need to add perlite . mg does work for people that actually know what they are doing . \with very good results . they don't need a advance nutrient bottle with a cannabis symbol on it or a heavy 16 or fire so on 100 dollars of nutrients only treats 50 gallons of water if you lucky . read the labels its all the same . different numbers on it . n.p/k go ahead and bash mg nutrients spend 100 or 500 for possible worse results lol .

agreed but who ever say that it grows a j plant through all stages with mg and just plain water and it was mdank. THATS BULLSHIT

Whatever you give your plants during their lifecycle will be deposited into the flesh of the plant; no amount of watering can remove that once it's in your plant. This is why cheap crappy nutes can make shitty tasting weed even if you flush them well. This is also why organically grown herb is the best tasting; there's nothing to flush out because the plants only take what they need as opposed to being force fed.

I will present different techniques I have come across on these forums and have wondered about, and offer first hand experience.

#1. You can't grow weed with Miracle Grow.

Answer- WRONG. You can...AND very SUCCESSFULLY. Back before many of you kids were born, I threw beans in Miracle Gro potting soil. Never added anything but water, and harvested some amazing buds. Even did it under CFL...sure the harvest was minimal...maybe 14-29g, BUT not because of the Miracle Gro ... it was the CFLs.

Point is, if you have-
1. Correct ph
2. Temps/humidity under control
3. Proper lights

you WILL produce.

Look, Nitrogen is Nitrogen, whether Miracle Gro makes it, it General Hydroponics ( both are now owned by MONSANTO...LOOK IT UP)... Go ahead and pay the man with your slave money... Me? I am growing fine without calmag, gh nutes, advanced nutes, or any of the other grave robbers lol that call themselves COMPASSIONATE.

#2. Giving your plants 24 hour darkness before flipping to flower

Answer- when I did this, my plants FREAKED OUT... BUT, they shocked only for 24-36 hours before settling down. I did this with a RESERVA PRIVADA Kandy Kush...she was a clone, and ended up being phenotype"fast blossoming indica dominant" ... she showed pistils in SIX DAYS..... but..... I also ran

#3. 11 on 13 off light cycle for flowering

Answer- plants did wonderful, don't feel I lost a lot of weight, but then again I am not in this for the money.

it is my PASSION. I LOVE THIS PLANT and all it brings to humanity. Should be free and available to EVERYONE.

Hence this thread...more to come as I "experiment ".

Not everyone here is a kid, you might be surprised, where do you get this shit? Some of the youngest people I know from here are some of the best growers, too. Every assertion you made about "the others" was drowning in reductionist cognitive bias. You are a braggart with an inflated sense of self-worth. No it tasted like shit; nothing dank about it. Yes just water and pretty sure I added cow manure to some cheapass potting soil. Grew this plant in a closet under a hotass 250w mh garage lamp with no filter or exhaust fan. I'm not telling anyone to use miracle grow; that shit sucks but it will work if used correctly.
Now I use water only soil the entire grow cycle...soil doesn't deplete for a really long time but it can easily become inactive. As microbial activity ceases due to the presence of chemicals like synth nutes or chloramine or flouride the plants can no longer uptake what is in the soil. This is why people use nutrients in the first place but you don't have to if you keep your mix active. Water only mix is NOT a myth it's just that growers who use nutes can't fathom this yet.

i know that bruh, but with an ammended soil mix , supersoil and different amended mixes. BUT WHO EVER TELLS E THAT GROW MJ PLANT IN PLAIN MG WITH NO AMENDMENT OR ANYTHING JUST PLAIN WATER, THATS BULLSHIT!!!

I think the problem with a lot of MG's soils was the slow release ferts and lack of control, more recently they have a range of more cannabis suitable products i.e. less slow release ferts. Few growers here use them very well.

Personally i am fucking bored of promix and soilless product, its a pure struggle to get shit dialled in and im missing some good ol multipurpose. This turd is crap compared to what i use to grow...

I could grow in soil with zero ferts or amendments, just repot it every few weeks... Job done!
