The most ludicrous

It's ludacris when people take best practices, or rule of thumb growing methods, too seriously and preach those methods as the only way of doing things.
Earlier this year (my first grow year) reading all the responses to forum questions would get me concerned but here's what I learned...
  • Yes, it is possible to germinate seeds by placing it in soil and watering, paper towel/water dunking isn't always necessary or best, sometimes it's actually worse!
  • Your grow room doesn't need to be at exactly 78F, and 85F+ won't entirely slow down growth, don't sweat it. (I would be uneasy anytime it went above 82, now I just question why I ever cared so much)
  • Likewise 18/6 light isn't necessary, yes it's better than 17/7 & 16/8, but it won't be a big deal if they don't get exactly 18 hours.
