SCROG in a tent. Hang a frame from ceiling, or attach to corner posts?

Hey guys, trying to think of a tried and tested method to run a scrog screen in my 2x4x5 tent.

Looking for opinions if it is best to hang/suspend the "screen" from the overhead supports that the lighting system is also hanging from, or if attaching the screen directly to the 4 corner posts of the tent is a better method. Im thinking suspending it will give me more adjustability if the plants are bigger or smaller each grow, but seems a bit unsteady and unsecured just hanging

What methods are you using?

No use, doing, or spending a fortune,on building a table ,build a square frame, out of timber that fits the inside of your tent ,perfect, drill 4 holes in each corner, that the table can slide onto the tent poles ,just have it at a height,to start with and then just lower when you need it,plumbing tubed foam, that is used has lagging on pipe work is ideal to stop the table sliding down with a tie wrap around it on each corner. But to be honest i just make mine by tieing it to frame of the tent then for the net, only problem with doing it this way is,you need a new one every grow, but i dry full plant and dry prune .So i just make a new one every grow a hour top's to make, both my main room and tent tables.

Plants pushing up 2-3lbs of wood and screen? really?

I like the idea of attaching it to the tents corner posts, the ebay link posted seems to have some pretty big holes though

4" squares I think on the 4x4 model. Works great. I guess you could tie in more string if you want closer squares.

I didn't realize you were going to use wood for assumed it would be made out of pvc ,wood might be ok to just hang. Would likely be heavy enough.

Hey man, good question to post... We may have the same tent. Check out my posts and you may find what you are looking for. 3x2' PVC frame with string for scrog. Tied and zip ties to side poles.image.jpeg

I'm a newB on my second grow but I have my screen suspended and it is working great so far! My plant has not flexed enough muscle to push it up yet....maybe once I trigger flower though? In that case, I'll just lash it to the corner posts to prevent it from moving upwards. My tents is also a 2x4x5.

You aree training that thing like an absolute animal! Exactly what I will be going for. Im curious why you have stopped the plants height so short though, is it because you are using an HPS bulb? I will be using t5 but figured 2' height from the floor would be a good point to flip to flower, but my lights need to be/can be much closer. I believe the high powerred HPS need a decent gap throughout the entire grow?

just curious why you are training it low is all, I couldnt find a log for your grow, how old is she

"Like an animal" haha, I like it!

Why so low? No real reason! I just wanted to make sure I didn't run out of room. Better safe than sorry? :-/ I was kind of guesstimating based on what I saw to be "the stretch" on my first run.

Again, 2nd grow, not an expert.

How old? WAY TOO OLD!!! The plant was the runt of the bunch on my first run and I decided not the flower. Instead I intended to grow a mother......then changed my mind and decided to practice a scrog. First grow was 28 plants in a SOG setup. This plant was a scraggler. Now it's OLD, I got the cuttings at the end of Feb this year. I have pics of its whole life but do not have a journal.
