Lol you know I'm just playin. Had I not gotten my ecosunlite I would have probably seriously thought about getting my supplemented blue/red from a vipar.Rah rah rah. Rabble rabble.
C-O-B-S are better because the sun isn't Blurple.oh alright. I just wanted to make sure I was on the same page as you guys. both the units I was looking at claimed about 2k par/mmol.
I guess my big question is should i avoid the red blue leds and run strictly full spectrum white leds?
lots of people mentioned cods but as i said im trying to trade local for an led light so custom unfortunately isnt an option.
why people reccomending cods, is it just cost efficency, or is it because full spectrum is so much better?
Thanks olive thats what I was looking for as far as brands go. ill keep my eyes open for viparspectra.
Is the SOL 9 also repuatable, reliable, quality?
Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. I do car audio so im use to companies trying to rip me off by advertising things that dont matter, like 4000 Max watts! So what things do/dont matter? whats the best way to look at a light and tell its garbage or "a sun"? I was pretty much exclusively looking at PAR output and Watts per LED.Do not mess with all the ideas, numbers and parameters. I did once and advise you please you do not. Most of the quality led chips provide you ideal spectrums that is what you need. I made one by myself mixture of cobs and monos and it looks amazing for me but I have spent 3 months on forums changed the project million times. In my situation I havent got much money to spend actually no money that is why it took soo long but for 1000-2000 dollars you can do more than overkill !
Tell us the area of you have ? Do u want sing high powerful output like your old 1000w hid or smooth out all over the place ?
Read the forums man. Your questions are quite commonmPretty much exactly what I was thinking. I have a 5 by 5 by 8 tent but i also have a walkin closet that i can use if they get to big (very good problem) 4 by 8 by 10. im not exactly sure what you mean by that second part. I want it to be as bright as possible. but I dont want to lose all of my light after it hits the top leafs.
I was thinking of maybe putting a second red/blue led under the plants to help disperse the light to all the leaves, I was also thinking of running the led with a metal halide also to help stems stand and penetrate the leaves. Im not sure what my best course of action is and its to much money to invest in a shitty product.
As far as cobs go thought don't buy anything unless it's CREE CXB3590/3070, CitizenCLU, or VERO29/10, chips on board COB.Pretty much exactly what I was thinking. God, what a terrible colaboration of total BullShit, that is.http://www.compareledgrowlights.com/wattage/
Absolutely love this! exactly what i was looking for. who lies, and who makes honest product. Electronics shopping is so tedious. who needs fourms? haha
Buy cob kits from www.northerngrowlights.com^ so is it bullshit? what aspects? (can more than one person confirm?) it seems rather unbiased and he calls out some companies for pretty tiny details. Lots of companies are not reccommended due to lies on specifications.
So I guess ill ask again.
what are the shit budget brands that underperform?
who makes products that actually do what they fxcking say?
I refuse to spend this much money on a gamble.
If they advertise on RIU, chances are they're a good gamble.^ so is it bullshit? what aspects? (can more than one person confirm?) it seems rather unbiased and he calls out some companies for pretty tiny details. Lots of companies are not reccommended due to lies on specifications.

PLC http://www.pacificlightconcepts.com/product/cx-bar/^ so is it bullshit? what aspects? (can more than one person confirm?) it seems rather unbiased and he calls out some companies for pretty tiny details. Lots of companies are not reccommended due to lies on specifications.

I don't work for them nor am I a LED salesperson/business owner. What you want is something that ain't exactly cheap.I want at least a 1000w HID replacement......
thanks didnt know that. that helps. If they advertise on RIU, chances are they're a good gamble.
A very incomplete list;
Johnson Grow Lights
Northern Grow Lights
Tasty LED
and many more. ..
The more you learn about COB LED, the better the advice I gave you looks.thanks didnt know that. that helps.
Im also very interested in bad manufactures.
It would be nice to see if theres an aspect to instantly tell if a product is even worth reading about.
in car audio if the fuses are less than 1/10 of power output they are lying. some rule of thumb like that.
So is that 500 watts over a 4x4? So 2 4x4's? Thats so fucking tight.
I woulda liked your post if i could find the button haha. Yes I see you mentioned COB being better but i dont understand how.The more you learn about COB LED, the better the advice I gave you looks.
Helio is in a different league but that doesn't make them better than a proper COB rig, and PLC is not a bad choice but when you say you want this and that Helio's offerings meet your requirements IMHO. I know dick about Tasty but I don't think they're where Helio are at atm.Either heliospectra is lying like everyone else and only tasty is giving legit numbers.
I woulda liked your post if i could find the button haha. Yes I see you mentioned COB being better but i dont understand how.
That heliospectra is only 1,000$ and outputs 862 nanomol at 1.7ft
tastyleds top model is $700 and outputs 150 nanomol at (2ft?)
both units use full spectrum light.
Either heliospectra is lying like everyone else and only tasty is giving legit numbers.
Or the helio is actually 6x more powerful for (basically) the same price.
what is your reason for saying that COB is a better alternative? im not saying it isnt. I just dont understand your reasoning.
The price of quality does not range this heavily a $1000 and a $4200 unit will not be the same.
