you are lucky. my mars hydro started losing diodes after the first 2 weeks and flowering was so poor that I switched back to my T5s after only 3 weeks of floweringI have mars 300 not impressed veg is ok but flower no power
20k lumens you're excited about when a single cxb3590 cob can throw out over 13,000. Lol.Ya I spent some time out today and I can get a 4 bulb fixture for 89 and 4 bulbs for 10 each 140$ ish with tax 20000 lumens rocking out!
Lol you and your damn cobs. You cobbler20k lumens you're excited about when a single cxb3590 cob can throw out over 13,000. Lol.
T5 growers on this thread saying they're so great, haven't ran cobs. Do yourself a favor, up your budget just a little bit, get 4cxn3590's and drive them HARD. Like 2800mA hard. And you'll be happy you did you'll need like a 150mm pin sink for that much wattage, but you'll be so happy with the results.Lol you and your damn cobs. You cobbler
I forget who posted it but some had a led with cobs around it. Looked dope.T5 growers on this thread saying they're so great, haven't ran cobs. Ya the mother ship!
Lol there are fixtures other than mine much more qualified for that title.Ya the mother ship!
What did that cost you to make if you don't mind me asking?Lol there are fixtures other than mine much more qualified for that title.

Good to know! Thanks8-3590''s at $42/ec.=$336
2-hlg-240-1750's=$145
2-36"heatsinks=$150
Wire, holders, thermal pads, alum angle, ideal adapters, angelinas=$50ish.
Close to $700. Then the far red pontoons were another $80 total to make. I've got about $800 in to it.
Not to mention all the tools I had to purchase to assemble it all.
So with 200watts total, you got basically 40 & 60 grams each time. Lets average to 50 grams. That's 0.25/gpw (grams per watt) when I got 1.4/gpw off of my cree CXB3590's. Literally 7 times the amount you got off your light. You shouldn't love your light. It's doing jack shit for you. You don't know what you're missing out on, until you try real deal CREE COBs.some people may shit on cheaper chinese LED's and maybe alot of them do suck.. I grow in a closet too brother and I dont know if I just got lucky getting the cheap LED I did but its a great light.
The LED I got is nothing more than a 180 watt full spectrum UFO.. The true watts of is 118 watts.. The brand of my 180 watt ufo is Ocean Revive.. I got it for 66$ shipped... funny thing is after I bought it on amazon they quit making them.. like literally a week after I bought it.
now I was using that 180 watt ufo along with 4 .. 40 watt (2600 lumens each) 2700k cfls.
The closet I grow in is 3 feet deep/4 feet wide/ and 6 feet high but I took some white foam panels and made the room smaller.
When only using the 180 watt LED the heat literally only went up 1 degree vs not having a light in there so I loved it for that.
I will say I had to keep my oscillating fan on medium 24/7 once i added the cfl's.
I'm poor as hel and the only way I will grow for now is with LED/CFL combo... my goal is to save some money and get a 600 watt LED light. Put 2 plants under a nicer brand 600 watt LED and you'll be shocked at the results.
and a tip... If you wanna buy the mars hydro 300.. buy the first generation one... its better and has a switch for veg/bloom.
I only grow 1 plant at a time and usually autos and I can tell you some results I got.
from 180 watt ufo led and 4 150 watt (40 true watt) cfl's ... a nirvana auto bubblelicious got me 41.8 grams dry.. with my setup I would never grow more than 2 plants. I could grow 2 plants but they'd be smaller and not as dense so what I do is make my cheap lighting system do 1 plant amazing.
I have done one photo strain (world of seeds NL x BB) and I vegged for 2 months and topped 3 times and LST'd and my yield on that with LED/CFL combo was 61 grams on the dot.
If I could go back to square one when I bought my light I would have waited and got one of the better LED pannels.. I say try to find a good brand 300-600 watt.. maybe a 450 watt or 400 if u can find and go with that. Have a 300 watt and you wont have to add any CFL's and you'll be amazed how there is no added heat.
LED growing is amazing though. I have loved it from day 1.
every single plant I've grown at harvest has had rock hard dense nugs that are stupid frosty.
example..
This is nirvanas auto bubblelicious and the photo strain i grew world of seeds northern lights x big bud.
Pictures in order
1. auto bubbleicious nug shot
2. auto bubblelicious
3. world of seeds photo strain of northern lights x bid bug.
If I could do this was 180 watt ufo then I'm sure a cheaper 300 watt led like mars hydro could double or at the bare minimum get a 50% increase in yield.View attachment 3760161 View attachment 3760162 View attachment 3760163

You can buy a pre wired kit from timber.I wasn't trying to say I'm the shit by any means... Cree me the fuck up brother.
How much is a cree 300 watt panel? Do i have to wire it myself?

Build one using citizen cobs insteadi like brother but for 5-700$ I'd rather slam my dick in a car door.. I just mean I could never ever afford something like that.. Its a shame a man cant get a damn good 300 watt (true watts) LED for 100$ in 2016
