Just get Boveda 62s and burp daily.
Exactly what I do. It's so easy. Its like opening up a candy wrapper to a danky, crystally, wonderful surprise.Try waiting till the leaves are crispy enough to flake off with your hands I trim almost all my nug without scissors I used to trim wet till I figured that out
Agreed.I agree. The only time I have a hay smell is when I screwed up.
I pull all the fan leaves off that don't have trics at least an inch up the leaf while it's wet. the rest I wait till it's dry enough to flake off the last 2 batches I harvested took 5 and 7 days to dry enough to do that I then put it in either jars with boveda 62 or if I feel the stems are still a little wet I'll throw it in a paper bag for a couple days. As far as losing trics from dry trimming just do everything over a trim bin and you will have some awesome full melt kief its my favorite part of growingI can see drying with the leaves on helping slow the dry process. The length of the drying process is what I've noticed makes the biggest difference in smell potency. (all growing being equal)
Do you guys that now dry trim, notice a longer drying time than when you trimmed wet?
Sorry I'm stoned that was a really complicated way to answer your question. at 63rh u should still be opening ur jars every day...the dank smell will come backhi
have all my weed in sealed jars - hygrometer inside reads 63% so should i just leave them sealed for a few days and then open?
the weed smell still isnt there yet, smells like hay kinda, stems are quite stiff but not cracking
On time is a matter of preference of the individual grower. The most likely reason for 'hay' smell is because it was harvested too early. If you harvest ON TIME, you won't have a 'hay' smell regardless of whether you trim dry or wet.
..No, you should probably harvest when the plant is at its peak. Mostly cloudy trics, 10-15% amber. That is pretty much its full potential, which is when it should be harvested. Although, the more amber, the more couch-locky. The more cloudy, the more heady. On time is a matter of preference of the individual grower.
Seriously, none of us take our plants to their true finishing time. We harvest for the affects we desire.
And when you harvest below 5%, you're cutting the efficacy time short. Ever have cannabis that only lasted 45 minutes? Harvested way too early. I cut most everything at 5%, can't stand CBN and sleeping through life...No, you should probably harvest when the plant is at its peak. Mostly cloudy trics, 10-15% amber. Well, yeah, if you let the plant "finish" or "get done," it will die. That's what plants do when you let them live a full life cycle. We harvest them at peak because if we don't, they're no longer useful to us by a certain point. They don't grow flowers indefinitely. You're missing the point here, just because our trichromes are done doesn't mean the plant is done. I,m not arguing that you shouldn't try to harvest at it's peak trichrome stage but the plant will continue to grow way past that stage. It may be past it's peak production but if un pollinated will continue to throw flowers ( and maybe a few nanners).
Yes, I have people growing my strains that harvest at 42-45 days, whereas i take them to 63 days. And when you harvest below 5%, you're cutting the efficacy time short. What about re-vegging? And yes they will continue to throw flowers as long as the climate and nutrients are available for growth. First thing is these plants sole reason for living is for reproduction.Well, yeah, if you let the plant "finish" or "get done," it will die. WE, meaning cannabis smokers and users, don't care when the PLANT is done. We care when thc and other cannabinods have reached peak production. Once that point is reached they begin to break down and ruin the high/stone/efficacy.You're missing the point here, just because our trichromes are done doesn't mean the plant is done. Quality over quantity? Uh, some of us are going for the medical properties of the plant, not couch lock I need to sleep every time I smoke this. You're missing the point here, just because our trichromes are done doesn't mean the plant is done. Agreed heads will want whatever you show them as long as it looks decent. Local reggie market? You could pull 35day olds and they would fly out the door. #TheoryWE, meaning cannabis smokers and users, don't care when the PLANT is done.
I have done revegs, after 43 days chances drop you will get it rooted but it will in some cases. Takes about 3 weeks to get it turned around too. What about re-vegging?
Green Crack cross or something?Yes, I have people growing my strains that harvest at 42-45 days, whereas i take them to 63 days.
