It is amazing how hydrolics work.your doing good to have any water on that hill,i got a dug well 100ft from the saco river that's just about dry get a little recharge over night but not much, been here 20 yr I don't remember it this dry
crazy dry in the bush, along the river its all clay blocks the water from seeping, the well guys call it clay bank,be 10 ft below river no waterIt is amazing how hydrolics work.
My friend down beside the wetland has been hauling water from our house in town for over a month now.
Our house is at 1,500 ft and our well is 1,580 ft, top of the mountain is 2,012ft. We've drained the well before running water none stop, 2 hrs later the well is full again. Our well consists of 4 tiles, 1 of which is 3+ ft above the ground, bottom tile is half full of silt. So it's about 12 ft deep.
All the run off brooks are bone dry. I only stopped using the well because it's getting low. After filling the tanks with 300 gallons of water, in a couple hrs the well returns to its new low level mark. But we have 4 adults here right now and 2 dogs. So I'm running for water as a precaution.
I'd hate to have to put up a tarp around the back of the military truck and have my wife and daughter solar showering out of the tanks in the back. My wife wouldn't complain but my daughter would... lol
I got the mini verson haha,i love maineChecked the well the other day, needless to say it's getting low.

Hopefully we get some serious rain soon. I'd hate to go into winter with a dry well.

This is all I hear anymore. 2 harvesters are going to rip through this mountain side like nothing....!!
They are clear cutting the mountain all the way around us. Tried to buy the land last yr, bank won't loan money to hippie dope growers. Besides they probably hold the notes on the 2 harvesters.what do you mean by this mate ?
