I didn't see it in this thread, I've seen it widely across this site though just as Fogdog said. Remember the Kim Davis thing? Conservatives were outraged about that and claiming PC persecution left and right even though she was working for the government

No, I dont remember that. I dont doubt that there is actual racists on the forum. I have not seen anything in here that was racism or sympathetic to racism.

What?!?..The Navy always has the best food of all the military. If we got a chance to eat at a Navy cow hall we would run for the opportunity.....you should have tried Army foodOf course I think you should be protected, because it's our right to say what we want.
When I was in the Navy, I was stationed on Adak, an isolated island in the Aleutians. Once a week a plane would arrive with fresh food and supplies. We would have fresh milk and eggs for 3-4 days, and then the rest of the week was powdered eggs and powdered milk, and no fresh food. One day I was in the chow hall, eating their slop, and I noticed a Suggestion Box on the wall. So I filled out a slip complaining about the shitty food. I then took a couple of pads of suggestion slips, and passed them out to everyone in the chow hall. Many men filled them out with nasty notes about the food.
The Commanding Officer then threatened to charge me with "mutinous action."
He never did, and the food still sucked.
In the military, making a suggestion is considered to be mutiny.
I never saw any sailors waiting in our cow line

Look, we have laws that "prevent" discrimination, but people with black sounding names don't get nearly the number of callbacks that white sounding names do even if their resumes are just as good, which means the laws are ineffectual. My point isn't that we should be allowed to legally discriminate, my point is that passing ineffective legislation to fix one symptom of a deeper problem doesn't fix the problem itself, it needs to be fought on a deeper level than that, and sometimes passing ineffective legislation just lets racists and bigots say "Look, we passed the law, now lets stop talking about it" while the problem continues unabated.

Taco Hell?, no way it's not Mexican food and I haven't had one of their tacos in a long time. Genuine, good Mexican food is hard to find in Oregon, other than a decent carnitas burrito. I to do the best I can to cook my own. Turkey mole from scratch during the holidays? Mighty fine. One time the mole sauce bubbled too hot and my kitchen looked like a scene from Friday the 13th. I even make my own corn tortillas but never got the hang of patting them out by hand and use a press. I'm not claiming to be as proficient as your mother in law but I make do for a white boy. If I had a Mexican mother in law that was a good cook, I'd be right in there with her learning everything I could from her. I'd have to overcome gender bias but what a gift to have somebody like that to learn from.
There isn't anything racist said in this post. I said there wasn't. Why are you bitching?

If you are pointing out that racism exists in today's US society then I'd say "duh". The law is just a starting point. The rest of it depends on what can be done using it. Really, nothing in small companies unless the racism is really overt. But I wouldn't call the legislation ineffective where it can be proven and there are people who were harmed that are willing to press the case. But you can't legislate morality. That has to be enforced by social pressure. Over time, social pressure is clamping down on racist acts. Which is why racists are crying so much about PC.

I have a question.. If Democrats are racist, then why do minorities overwhelmingly vote for them?
The answer many of them have to that question shows why..

Because Democrats are happy to keep minorities down through welfare programs that continue poverty endlessly. And yes, it is the free shit and being told that their situation is the fault of someone else and not themselves.
